Yes it is. Those Americans who complain about their situations have put themselves in those situations by their own actions and community cultures. There is absolutely nothing I as a white, married, Christian man can legally do that any other group can't also do. Get off your a$$es and make a better life for yourselves.

Did you know that generally speaking, homes in black communities are worth less than ones in white communities, even when the income level is the same? Home ownership is a major source of wealth for most people.

Let's be honest about who has a leg up when it comes demanding that everyone "make things better for yourselves."

In fairness, has life ever been good - at least relative to the native population - for these groups in literally any society?

The thing about the white man is that although he is a conqueror (which again to be fair, who isn't?), he's also the founder of the enlightenment and the orchestrator and exporter of the global liberal order. Even more fringe and radical progressions of liberalism (like Communism and critical theory) are European philosophical traditions. I think this is the point conservatives touch on when they go on their American chauvinism "we're the best ever!" rants. Even highly intelligent far left philosophers like Žižek have noted that liberalism and progressivism are fundamentally Eurocentric ideologies.

Just something to keep in mind while we're doing our ritual flagellation.

You're contending that dei hiring programs, in effect, are a form of reverse racism. As directing hiring of marginalized groups over whitey is, in your mind, unfair to whitey.

And, by the letter of the law, your point does have merit.

But, as there are no laws that have codified a requirement that forces entities to hire marginalized groups, I assert that any law that forces entities to "not" hire marginalized groups, would be a civil rights violation as well.
I will say, you do have playing the victim thing down.

Life is not easy for anyone, you have to make your own way through life and America provides what you need to do that. We are guaranteed the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The right to pursue happiness, not a guarantee that we will all be born into the same circumstances or start from the same point. Just suck it up and keep on pursuing.

No one said we are going to have it easy, that's your simplistic, unintelligent misinterpretation of what I said. But we are lucky and blessed to have been born in America. You seem to think to be lucky and blessed means having a government that provides everything for you by forcing other people to pay for it. As one of our greatest Presidents said it very well "A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have." Europeans have experienced that several times in their history yet seem to never get it.

America started 250 years ago as a few English colonies in a world controlled by major European countries, with a population of less than 3 million, weak militarily and economically, and has grown to dominate the world. Today America has a population of around 340 million and a GDP double that of the entire European continent.

Yes, we Americans are damned lucky and blessed.

It's a real shame that MAGA world has been able to call the polar opposite of racism, a tool designed to overcome hundreds of years of racism, institutional racism. It's a favorite tactic of the lying far right, calling a term they don't like the exact opposite of what it really is.

The reason why others can also do what you've always been able to do is the progress made thanks to the political left. The racism and anti-gay practices of the past, fought by Conservatives at every turn, are gone, thanks to the political left, the champions of equality. MAGA world wants to take away that equality. Decent people won't let them.
