Not guilty

Your comment assumes that Trump was impeached over nothing which is a lie. It boiled down to who thought the offense was impeachable and make no mistake about it, there WAS an offense.

I call the impeachment reasons Sondland.

I assumed. I presumed. I speculated. I guessed.........that Trump wanted Ukraine to investigate Biden because he was afraid of him. This should really be coined as the "Sondland" impeachment and at such time as there is ever again (and that is debatable) a Democrat president and majority house the Republicans should immediately demand special counsels, years long investigations and then when they get the president on anything, pull a "Sondland".

Wow. Here I was thinking you were over 150 years old and now you say you are a lot older than you think I am. I'm probably older than you think I am but I must confess I am not over 150 so you've got me beat. It would be interesting to post a poll asking members if they thought Nixon had "integrity". How do you think lefties would vote on that?

I have no idea where you grabbed the '150' year old thing? Certainly it has no correlation with Nixon's impeachment and resignation. Nixon had a modicum of integrity to quit while he was ahead, but that actually speck of integrity had less to do with any honesty than it did with his attempt to alter history. Instead of history remembering him as being 'impeached' and 'removed', it puts him into a lesser evil category of 'resigned'.

Trump is going to win in 2020. All the fool democrats suceeded in doing is solidifying his base and pushing many Independents and moderate democrats toward voting for him. The economy is outstanding and most people will vote with their pocket books, that is just a historic fact. Democrats look childish and petty and I'm willing to bet they will continue their attacks which will just make the voting public come to doubt their motives even more. When you start advertising that you are going to push for impeachment from the moment the man was elected it seems like all politics and nothing else. Most Americans are tired of it.

I am a moderate and have voted for Democrats, Republicans, and Independents for many years. Voted for Obama in 2012, voted for some Democrats in 2019. Didn't vote for Trump in the primaries or in the general. Due to lefty shananigans and the party moving further left, there is a good chance that even though I did not vote for Trump in 2016 that I will in 2020.

Go enjoy your pity party. You bore me. We are done.

Yes. They deserve a party where they can cry and weep and hold and hug each other and talk optimistically about the future, even though they say Democracy is dead. This may be very therapeutic for them.

Do you think impeachment caused that?

Well, I don't really know but his approval ratings were up right at the same time of the impeachment proceedings.

Not sure why you are talking about Nixon. He committed crimes, didn't want to be impeached and removed from office, so he resigned. Trump committed no crimes (the articles didn't even accuse him of committing any crimes) and didn't resign because he knew the Senate would find that he didn't commit any crimes. The Democratic witnesses even testified that they did not witness Trump committing any crimes.

Yes, it’s official: Donald Trump really can shoot someone and not lose any voters.

In fact, they’ll all line up to insist that he never shot anyone in the first place.

The GOP is now the Manchurian Party and Winston Smith is their mascot.

Maybe you are older than I am and forgot that it was you that brought up Nixon, not me.

How old are you? Nixon was never impeached. That makes you over 150 years old. You also don't know history very well. In every impeachment throughout history, no Senator ever voted against their own party's president. So, you could argue that this impeachment Senate trial was less partisan and more fair than all of the others.

I think they would be even higher if it wasnt for impeachment.

Spin it all you want, the impeachment trial has boosted Trump's approval ratings to his highest ever since being president. I know that is hard for you to take, just like it was hard for you to take Trump being exonerated.
Leave it to a Trumpster not to recognize facts when they’re staring him in the face. :lamo

BTW, Trump wasn’t exonerated, he was acquitted, which doesn’t mean innocent.

So, now you are saying that this Senate impeachment trial was the fairest and most bipartisan impeachment trial in US history.

Nothing I wrote in that post even remotely suggest such.

Moscow Mitch led a sham trial, the first impeachment trial to ever exclude witnesses and documents.

Yes, you are the one who brought up Nixon first. It's alright though. Dementia is expected in those who are over 150.

LOL. Well, there has NEVER been a senator in our country's history who has ever voted against the president of their own party. Never. Therefore, since Romney did this time (thanks for mentioning it), then obviously you are saying that this impeachment trial is the fairest impeachment trial this country has ever had. And, you would be right.

but but but, you don't need a crime. All you need is a House vote of 218-217, because whatever the House says is impeachable is impeachable. It doesn't have to be a crime. And Trump is guilty of so many things.

Don't forget the emoji with the rolling eyes,
