"Every now and then, it's easy to get lost and feel hopeless. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and helpless because fascism thrives and spreads off loneliness, fear, and the feeling of being helpless.

Maga is extremely loud, but THEY ARE THE MINORITY. Something important to remember is that social media is a smoke screen. Polls are not conducive to reality.

We like to think Trump has complete control over the right, but this primary has shown that just isn't the case. Each primary, we've seen a good fraction of Republicans vote for Nikki. Throw in the fact she just got over 20% of the vote in Indiana last night despite dropping out 2 months ago is absolutely embarrassing for trumps campaign and his chances at winning this election.

Republicans have ****ed themselves so hard because now they can't win a primary without trumps approval but they can't win a general election with him. Which is evident by how many Trump back candidates lost in the midterms.

Those "rinos," centrists, independents. Trump can't win without them, and so far through this primary, they've shown they aren't voting for him.

There's no way Trump wins on merit. If he gets back into office, it'll be because of some nefarious operation and external circumstances. Like getting Scotus involved somehow. Jan 6th was a dry run. We will be tested again. We must be vigilant."

But the polls!

It all comes down to whether Haley does the Convention Kumbaya.

What are the chances of that? I put them at 90% right now. Either because she folds, thinking she will outlive Trump and needs to be on the good side of his constituents or because Trump offers her a plum position (traditionally, VP but Trump isn’t traditional).

A Haley endorsement might not mean that much. Folks know just who Trump is.

. There's no way Trump wins on merit

True! The wife majority of the public actively dislike him and don't even want him running, much less in office

. If he gets back into office, it'll be because of some nefarious operation and external circumstances

Like, for example, if Democrats decide to run Joe Biden (who is also someone a majority of the country doesn't want), or something.

Yeah, I just don't see many if these voters saying they thought the attempt to overthrow our government was bad, but, then Nikki Haley said she was going to vote for him, so...

And this is before Trump gets convicted in New York.

Doesn't look good for trump. Trump couldn't get re-elected in 2020, what makes people think he will be elected again after listening to his threats for the past four years?

Biden has one advantage in that he doesn't cultivate visceral hatred as Trump does. People might not want him, but they don't really hate him, unless they're already in the bag for Trump.

The evidence presented to date does not scream confidence IYO

Jury nullification is the only way your dream comes true

And everyone already knows what a corrupt sleaze ball he is.

What overall problem? Not making the lone qualification of being a Republican based on one's devotion to one man?
1- She's a warhawk
2- She's a chronic flip-flopper

True. Far fewer broken-glass anti-biden voters.

But, broken glass votes still only count as one.

Instead of reducing benefits, why don't we just not pay SS to millionaires? Social Security is designed to stop poverty and hunger among the aged. But if you're aged and rich, there's no reason to pay you. Yes, I know you contributed to the program. The program was there for you if you needed it. But if you don't need it, you don't get it.

So do nothing, then?

Pretty much, but she is rather vague - despite claiming to be an accountant. She wants to raise the SS ‘full benefit’ age for those now in their 20s (which would have no impact for at least 33 years) and to replace the current benefit COLA increase with “an inflation adjustment” (a distinction without a difference?).

dude. no one expects you cultists to have an open mind regarding the evidence.

plus, you and your extremist opinions don't matter. the only 12 people that matter are in the jury box.
