I was not able to be in the stadium as I wasn't one of the people lucky enough to get tickets in the 3 minutes they were available
I was part of the giant group of people outside. I was down the alley in front of the portrait gallery (straight out, and then up a right side alley, from the stadium).
I've never seen the city so overflowing with red, so many people on the streets, so many people of all stripes just happy and celebrating and having a crazy time. I was also happy that, while I was there at all, there was a ton of celebrating but no stupidness in terms of damage. It was a crazy atmosphere and so loud. Coming into town on the metro I would've thought an actual playoff game was happening in town, not thousands of miles away.
Leaving was amazingly fun as most cars that would drive by would slam their horn in the *HONK HONK HONK* rhythm followed by everyone on the street still doing the "LETS GO CAPS". It was none stop high fives as you walked by other amped up people.
Was just amazing. I didn't get home till nearly 3:00 AM. And honestly today is now a whole second wave of things because now I'm actually getting to see all the celebration and such from the game far more up close in terms of things like Ovi hoisting the cup.
