NHL - 2016/2017 Season [W:290]

WooHoo, Sens win again! Six overtime wins so far! :monkey:rock:2dancing::cheers:

On paper, the Pens are the stronger team, but right now, the Sens are playing with a lot confidence, unison and mental toughness. They can pull it off, I think.

Sens and Preds are both underdogs, which is why I want to see them in the final.

Just ask Marc Method. And yes, there was no penalty.

I edited in the video of the slash. Best part was, it came two days after a spearing incident, that Crosby was not penalized for...

Yea mine too. Snow will overpay to keep him. Although the Isles have a lot of young talent. Barzal looked horrible in his NHL debut but looks great in the minors and on the Canadian under 21. Ho Sang looks like the real deal. Be interesting to see if Bellows develops. Go Sens!

Garth Snow is weird. For every brilliant move he makes, and he makes some really brilliant moves, he makes 3 or 4 bonehead, head scratcher moves. No consistency.

Isles have a lot of talent. They just need to get it together.

Oh, and my picks for this round are Nashville and Ottawa. Sorry they are late.

A 10 year contract or whatever to Rick D. was one of those. Imagine if the Isles kept Chara way back when.

I think that once the Isles get a working arena situation that will work for a few years, they will start to play to their potential. First team not the Wings I ever was a fan of.

Edit: watched the video, and damn but I geeked out a ton. Potvin, Smith, Bossy, Murphy. All my heroes1

Great team back in the early 80's. Clark Gillies was another Hall of Famer not on your list. Sutter bros. were pretty good too.

The Penguins home announcers are by far the worst of any sports announcers. Period.

That Niskanen hit was nasty.

No no....the Niskanen hit was unfortunate, but it surely wasn't deliberately a nasty hit directed at Crosby's head. Crosby was falling. It was literally a split second thing that happened and almost impossible for anyone to avoid.

The only "nasty" part of that incident was the wicked slash to Crosby from Ovechkin (which was not even called as a penalty).

Niskanen in no way deserved a game misconduct.

Cool story:

When I was in high school in the mid 80's, a friend of mine lived in the country, about 30 kms from school. One summer he'd often hitch a ride to and fro his job. Once day this guy in a really fancy car picked him up -- it was none other than Billy Smith. Said he was a really nice guy who spent a great deal of time at his cottage not far from my friend's house.

We get Canadian content here, but I decided to check out the American telecast last night. After 10 minutes, I switched back. I could have sworn they were masturbating very time Crosby and Malkin touched the puck.

Nice as long as you didn't hang around the goal. Then it was slash city. LOL

He cross checked him while he was falling. One or both needed to go. Again I'm no fan of Crosby but he got hammered.

0-0 after two. I wish I could watch the rest. But, gotta get up at 5 to ride my bike.

Hey MG, how come Ottawa is not grinding more on Pitt? Coming off of a 7 game series against a very physical team, you would think grinding on Pitt would pay dividends.

I thought the game was pretty physical. Were we watching the same game? Ugh... I hate Kessel. Such a big whiny baby.

Sens went for some big hits, not grinding.
