Nfl 2019

in no way was the suspension buried ... notice what we are discussing right now, the following saturday

and why the hell would the NFL be afraid of it? was MLB afraid of it when pete rose was found out?

Josh Shaw is a no-name journeyman in the NFL that already had one foot out the door.

He's broken and bent. And a major headcase to boot.

who is both available and better ... someone the panthers could replace him with?
if unable to answer that question, then it would be foolish to part with cam

ditto for the coach/rivera

Ravens and 9'ers appear to be in a shootout. 17-14, Baltimore, 2nd Q.

No they are not. The Saints won every game with Bridgewater because of Kamara and their defense. I love Teddy for stepping up like he did but he's not good enough to carry a team by himself.

The Saints offense is a product of good coaching. The genius of Sean Payton is the reason for the Saint's success on offense, not Drew Brees. Wrs, TEs, and Rbs have been turned over every other year in New Orleans.

Drew Brees as the QB has come up short too many times as the starting QB. He couldn't put the finishing touches on the Rams last year. He couldn't pass the finish line against the Vikings two years ago. Three and four years ago he didn't even make the playoffs.

Disappointing, Cinci won destroying their shot at a perfect season in reverse. Damn Jets!

You don't have to keep proving that you know as much about football as you do about nuclear medicine, which amounts to nothing.

Did anyone hear Lamar Jackson talk after the game?

:soap

It sounds like he has rocks in his mouth He's not a long-term answer at QB.
See post 1733...

See post 1733...

He isn't a long-term solution. And how many qbs like that have won an SB?

Bobby Douglas, Michael Vick, Colin Kaepernick.... zero.

105 passing yards isn't going to get it done in the playoffs and QBR is a garbage measure of a QB. It is a flawed stat created by ESPN.

And having a Hall of Fame QB.

The Saints offense sucks without Drew Brees. Defense carried Bridgewater, not the other way around. You clearly didn't watch a single game where Teddy started.

He couldn't put the finishing touches on the Rams last year.

He would have won that game were in not for a bad call.

He couldn't pass the finish line against the Vikings two years ago.

The only reason the Saints were in a position to win that game was Brees leading the second half comeback.

Three and four years ago he didn't even make the playoffs.

Because the Saints defense ranked consistently in the bottom five of the league.

Once again Bucky doesn't have a clue about what he's talking about.

Steven Young won one.

Between Colin Kaepernick and Vick they also have 4 Conference Championship appearances.

I didn't see the game but I heard Lamar got hammered a few times today. That type of QB just can't last very long in the NFL. He might take the league by storm this year, and maybe next. But I doubt he can take the pounding for very long.

Speaking of the NFL....lol.... I did see the end of the Chargers game, and they lost because...................... wait for it, a BS PI call against the Chargers with 3 secs left in the game.. Seems like every week a game's outcome is coming down to the Refs. Not the players... The Refs!!!!!! That's not good, at all. Bad optics.

Lamar is one knee injury away from a short career.

Unfortunately that is probably true. But what an exciting team the Ravens are to watch right now. Definitely a challenge for defenses.

Think about it Jred. They traded a second round pick for Bridgewater, on an expiring contract. They are grooming him to replace Brees, not be his backup.

They are grooming him to replace Brees because Brees will most likely retire soon.

You honestly have no idea what you're talking about. You do yourself a disservice every time you post. It's sad watching you post stupid **** followed up by you posting more stupid ****.

I'd rather have a honorable QB who plays like Jackson and speaks the way he does than a has been/cheater like Brady who speaks the way he does. Boy, the Pats really got their assess handed to them tonight, didn't they? I didn't realize Brady's QB rating was so low!

:doh

The Patriots lost on the road when 30% of the roster had the flu. The Patriots are 10-2 and Texans are 8-4.

The Patriots are the class of the AFC. You would have to be a fool to think they are done.

Lamar Jackson is the equivalent to the company Beyond Meat. Beyond Meat or ticker BYND;l the stock price is unsustainable. It is simply a company that sells fake meat and won't break even until 2025. Fake meat has already been done, in 1995, Turtle Island Foods started selling Tofurky.

I reality Lamar Jackson is a QB in three years at college averaged a 57% completion percentage, his first year in the NFL average 58%. He lacks the fundamentals and skill set to be a real quality pocket passer in the NFL. He has a herky-jerky sidearm throw that is embarrassing.

He's in the same offense as Colin Kaepernick was with the 49'ers (Greg Roman the Ravens OC was the 49'ers OC). His gaudy numbers are simply a product of a good offensive system with good talented players around him.

Unless the Ravens defense can play like the 2001 Ravens defense, I would definitely SELL on the Ravens winning the SB, or even getting past the AFC Championship.

Are you are seeing something that I'm not?

Brady's only reliable offensive help is Edelman.

Baltimore could just as easy pull off the number one seed.

If they beat the 49ers tomorrow it could be all over because I don't see them losing to Jets, Browns, Steelers, or Bills.

The Pats will struggle and lose at least 1 game among the Texans, Bills, and Chiefs.

Meh.... I could be wrong.

I am actually buying Josh Allen as a long-term franchise QB more than Lamar Jackson.

Josh Allen has made tremendous progress as a pocket passer. He's played very well with pedestrian weapons around him. I really like the fact he has a very thick body. Lamar Jackson has skinny legs. I don't really see a lot of meat on his bones.

I see a lot of Brett Favre in Allen.

Thanks,

What a weird season.

It looks like the SuperBowl is now the Ravens to lose...depending on how they play in cold snowy weather.
Just a few short weeks ago we were talking about the Dolphins going in the tank for the draft. Today at times they looked like world beaters against the Eagle.
The NFC East is a joke. SUCH a bad conference.
The Patriots defense is overrated and they dont have much talent at WR. They should get AB back.

....And?

Of course they need a new QB, Brees is 40 and has declined in recent years. The idea that Bridgewater though is a better QB than Brees is laughable, even at this age in his career. Maybe down the road Teddy will earn it, but right now?

I do love the idea of Teddy, coming off a bad injury while young, finds redemption and new success in a new team, but he still has a way to go.
