Nfl 2019

Ravens and Niners are scary good right now.

I can't see the Pats doing anything against a Raven team.....or KC for that matter.

If LJ keeps throwing strikes like he did last night, the Ravens will be very hard to beat.

It just isn't Jackson who is riding on a tornado through the NFL , it is the whole team.

This is going to be a fun year in the NFL.

As a Ravens fan since their relocation from Cleveland in 1996, I am not used to this type of dominance from their offense. I hesitate to get overconfident, they did get their butts kicked by the Browns in this very season, at home no less. But they are looking amazing right now, like the whole team has clicked. It’s exciting!

Did you watch Brady in the pocket? Did you see the balls he threw at 25-35 yards? Plenty of zip, no wobble, on target...If thats 'deteriorating', theres still 27 teams at least that would sign him for at least the next 3

So you're going to claim that Brady's statistics for 2019, as posted above, are not a deterioration from his historical statistics and even his statistics for the last couple of years? That's fine with me, however, most fair observers are saying that Brady has deteriorated and the Cheatriots' offense, as a whole, is a hot mess. But who knows in the NFL - Brady may be able to pull off a Payton Manning and see his team win despite his poor play.

The Patriots offense isnt as good this year as last AND...funny thing about having the GOAT coach, the GOAT coach will build a game plan that will create longer sustained drives, more emphasis on a great defense, and be prettty fricken satisfied winning the SuperBowl 13-3. Because...oh yeah..Winning the SuperBowl.

Umm...did I mention they are sitting currently at 10-1? I didnt...did I. Hey...btw...the Patriots, with that terrible offense and over the hill washed up QB are 10-1.

10-1

What is your teams record BTW?

LJ is the Real Deal. But I just hope he doesn't get decapitated running so much.

Weakest schedule in the league, year after year. I think most teams would be 10-1 if they played the same schedule.

The 49'ers defensive line were scary to watch the other night.

It was the only time ever I saw Rogers with the "deer in the headlights" look on his face.

He's had that look on his face more and more lately

Last few weeks and next two games

@ Baltimore
@Philly
vs Cowboys
@Texans
vs Cheifs

Hardly a cake walk and they still have to play a very strong Buffalo.

BB & Brady have feasted on every division in the NFL for 19 years.

The scheduling argument is a tad weak considering the the Pat's have completely dominated most of the best contenders of each division over the years.

Brady recods.webp

The stats are even better now giving that the Jpeg is pretty old.

Pretty much every division has their weak sisters. If it was strength of schedule, that would show where it counts...in the post season and SuperBowls.

Baltimore, Buffalo and the Chiefs (who have been a huge letdown this season) are the only "tough" matchups they will have this year (get out of here with the Cowboys or Philly being tough matchups and Houston is not the Houston of the past few years). Somehow they're playing KC at home for the third straight time in the regular season (2017, 2018, 2019), how does that happen? They play in the weakest division in football, they don't have to be great all season long to get home field advantage. Having said that, Belichick is the greatest coach in the history of the game and he does a great job year in and year out of having them ready come playoff time (when they play mainly at home for the reasons already stated).

Their defense has shined this year and it's a huge reason why they are 10-1.

His "stats" weren't as good as Manning's in most categories, but he has always had the better coach in every matchup and he's almost always had the better team. The Patriots used to be dominant, no matter who they played, but you're fooling yourself if you think this year they are dominant. That W-L record is impressive, but they have only played one good team (Buffalo - who they barely got past) and one great team (Baltimore - who crushed them). Everyone else has a combined record of 38-61, not exactly what I would call "hard" by any stretch, perhaps the term "cake walk" would fit here.

This is by far the worst offense the Pats have had w/ Brady under center but it is probably the best defense they've ever had, and they've had some pretty good defensive teams. Brady isn't as good as he once was and it's time to realize that. He's been one of the greatest to play the game at any position, but age is starting to catch up to him. Belicheck has built a dynasty in NE and it's the best the NFL has ever seen (ironic since the Celtics are the greatest dynasty in the NBA) - lucky Boston fans.

IMO, Brady has the rest of this year and next year before he really starts to slide. I'd hate to see him play to the point where his defense is carrying him as we saw in Denver for Peyton's last season, but that is the path before him, and we're starting to see the signs of that this year (some would argue last year as well).

Anyone who thinks Brady hasn't declined is stupid.

Anyone who thinks he's still not one of the best QBs in the league is also stupid.

I agree with this completely.

First of all, I didn't mention anything about the Patriots being dominant.

During Payton's last two years, he threw wobbling grapefruits, Brady still has zip on the ball and can move just as well in the pocket.

Short memory? Peyton had a great next to last season and he wasn't horrible until his injury in his last go-round. He was abysmal in the Super Bowl, it was painful to watch.

I think we're already at that point.

The story of the Pats the last two years isn't Brady, it's their awesome defense. That's what saved the Pats against the Chiefs last year, when Brady started to slip in the second half, and their latest tango with the Cowboys (lol) was a similar dynamic.

Don't get me wrong. Brady is the man. But that having been said, Rogers, Jackson, and Mahomes are better, and anybody that can't see that, is just snorting Brady's farts.
