Nfl 2019

Clowney traded to Seahawks. Might be a good fit.

The Hawks got Clowney for two backup linebackers, one of which was going to get cut, and a 3rd round draft pick. And if that wasn't a big enough fleece job, Houston is paying half of Clowney's salary.

Wow.

overrated player, always injured, never had double-digit sacks.

LOL he's a three time pro bowler, and they snagged him for a huge bargain only because he didnt sign his franchise tag.

If the Pats had grabbed him, you'd be telling us he was the greatest Defensive End since Reggie White.

Patriots do not trade or even draft high-sack total guys. They are not about edge rushers.

Consider Tom Brady has outlasted Peyton Manning and his successor Andrew Luck.

Brady will soon be playing against QBs that were not even born when he made his debut in 2001.

Texan fans are apoplectic.

It is not as if the Seahawks are going to win the SB. They were exposed against the Cowboys. The Seahawks had a top 5 rushing defense and Ezekiel Elliot ran through them like a hot knife through butter.

Does anyone think the Seahawks are in the same league as the Rams, Cowboys, Bears, Eagles? Please.

FFS, you're the same guy who predicted the Seahawks demise last year. You said they would be lucky to win 7 games. They won 10. And you claim the Cowboys dominated the Hawks. LOL 24-22. You'll have to try again son.

The Raiders are just nuts. They have 3 QBs, including starter David Carr, but then they also get Kizer? What the heck is Gruden gonna do with all these QBs? Crazy. :crazy3:

Did they win their division? No
Did they beat the rams? No
Are they better than the rams now? No

Jadavean Clowney is the most overrated pass rusher in the game. People act like he is in the same class as Von Miller or Mack... please. He had 9 sacks and pretty much every team that plays the Texans is focusing on JJ Watt.

Clowney will get double digit sacks with the Seattle crowd. Bank on it.

Seattle played the Rams straight up. Those games could have gone either way. Had you actually watched them, you wouldn't look so clueless. But you're good at that.

And again, your prediction last year proved how clueless you are.

The Patriots did beat the Rams. They don't have a double-digit sack guy but didn't allow 1 td to the great Rams offense on a neutral field.

I've been saying this about Da' Bills for the last couple years. Fix the O-Line and we could very well be trouble for our AFC East pretenders. So we did just that and so far: Undefeated in the pre-season and if this is the harbinger for things to come this year, we may well even exceed our glory days of the early 90s.

had never heard about this fellow before

LOL it makes him out to be like Palpatine.

LOL you do know that preseason doesnt count, right?

I can almost guarantee the Bills will have a better record than the Dolphins.

Wishing all my fellow NFL fans a fun, exciting, and successful year. Hoping the new challenge rule doesn't completely ruin the game. Rule never should have been changed to accommodate the crying Saints fans and franchise. Every team in the league has experienced a similar brain dead call or missed called by the refs and usually, in the long run, these things even out and they give all of us something to gripe about. I would argue that the Steelers missed the playoffs last year because the Saints were gifted a touchdown in their game against the Steelers on a phantom pass interference call in the end zone on a ball that was at least 15 feet over other the receiver's head - a play that completely changed the course the game was on at that point.

Love that my Steelers are basically being ignored by all the pundits who've suddenly fallen in love with the Browns. Steelers lost 6 games last year by a total of 25 points, all with the disruption of the Bell distraction for the first half of the year and the Brown distraction for the rest of the year. Their young defense has improved year over year and they've improved the talent as well. All depends on execution but seems promising.

Final note - looks like the Cheatriots managed once again to get the softest cupcake schedule for the year and will waltz into the playoffs with a bye and homefield - but will still probably lose a game to the putrid Dolphins.

Just as a follow-up to my comments above - compare the Cheatriots' schedule to the Steelers' schedule:

Patriots opponent's 2018 win loss record - 120-134
Steelers opponent's 2018 win loss record - 126-128

And let's remember, the Patriots won the Super Bowl and the Steelers didn't make the playoffs, and yet the Steelers get the more difficult schedule

Patriots home opponent's 2018 win loss record - 60-66
Steelers home opponent's 2018 win loss record - 69-58

So, not only do the Steelers have the stronger opponents in their schedule, they also have significantly stronger opponents coming to Pittsburgh

And let's not forget that the AFC North has three teams that are projected to fight it out for the division title - Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Baltimore - and the AFC East, perennially the worst division in the NFL, has one team projected to contend for the division title.

But hey, life is seldom fair and it is what it is. Looking forward to Sunday night's Steelers/Cheatriots game in NE to start the season - should go a long way to indicating if I'm right about the Steelers being set to have a good bounce back year.

And the Cheatriots have what to do with you being so incredibly wrong again about the Hawks?

The Seahawks lucked out because Jimmy G got injured. The Cardinals and 49'ers will be improved.

Think about it. If Clowney is so good, why did the Texans essentially give him away for nothing?

You do realize the Patriots last year beat the "best" team in the AFC, the Chiefs, twice!
