Nfl 2019

With the exception of Kirk Cousins, I'd take any of those other QBs over Brady at this point in time and there isn't one of those other teams that would trade their QB straight up for Brady at this point in time.

Maybe he thinks we should just cancel the AFC season and pencil the Pats into the SB.

It will save you, patriot haters, a lot of stress.

I have a feeling that the Cheatriots will never win another SB ever again.

seems to me you have stated that prediction every year since you have been on these boards

I have a feeling that the Cheatriots will never win another SB ever again.

The glorious Dynasty called the Patriots will have one or two more Superbowls in the next few years. To start with this year is going to be number 7 when it comes to Brady and his ring collection.

It is so sad that these Patriot haters like Max Kellerman and his buddies keep looking like idiots when the final plays is over and the Patriots are victorious once again.

Detroit however and former Patriots coach Matt Patricia might just face a terribly disappointing season. For a man who knows (or should know) how to play the Patriots, Patricia and his team are doing really poorly in the first pre-season game. It is now deep in the 3rd quarter and the Patriots are up 28-0. Without even bringing in their big offensive weapons the Lions are being ripped apart.

And as always the Patriot haters are left with egg on their faces after the Patriots win another SB. Rob Parker will be looking like a fool against come Super Bowl time. The man is habitually wrong about the Patriots and Brady.

Really? Show me the other time I made this prediction? :)

Figures you like a team full of cheaters since you're also a fan of the Tour De France- a sport where everyone dopes.

You live in the past and are pretty much ignorant about the Tour de France.

And yes, I love the Patriots, the best team in the NFL and all that negativity against them is IMHO nothing but envy because their teams are terrible/very bad.

Patriots looked scary good against the Lions

LOL riight, tell it to he Marines. you were defending Chris Froome a few years back, saying that the sport was clean, yet a few months after the TDF, he tested positive for banned substances.

Yes, you love cheaters. We get it.

Gonna be a fun year in Oakland.

Report: Antonio Brown goes “radio silent” on Raiders

Antonio Brown got what he wanted, and the Raiders should have known what they were getting.

Chase Williams of WPXI, the NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh, has reported that Brown already has gone “radio silent” on the Raiders, as he obtains treatment away from the team on feet that were frostbitten last month in a cryotherapy chamber.

Here’s the specific content of the tweet from Williams: “10 practices into training camp and Antonio Brown has already gone ‘radio silent’ with the Raiders. They have zero clue where he is or what the progress of the foot injury is.”

It’s impossible to know whether this report is accurate, in part because no one connected to the team is publicly saying anything about Brown’s injury. It had seemed that the Raiders were mum in order to avoid making Brown look bad or foolish for freezing his feet; maybe the Raiders are saying nothing because there’s nothing to say, and because they just don’t know what’s going on.

If the report is accurate, folks in Pittsburgh will shed no tears over this development, given the manner in which Brown behaved at the end of his nine-year run with the team. Folks in Oakland will be dismayed by the situation, but they shouldn’t be.

Brown wasn’t punished but rewarded for quitting on his team in Week 17. There’s no reason to think that he learned any lesson from his final days with the Steelers because, at the end of the day, he won.

No, he was accused of testing higher for a legal medicine that he gets for asthma, experts found that the claim that he was over 200% was ludicrous, at most he was over 19% and even that is dubious as he was tested 20 times during that Vuelta and not once was he over the limit for that medication. So he was found innocent of using doping. He was getting a legally prescribed asthma medication.

Yes, you love cheaters. We get it.

Sure, your jealousy keeps showing.

any chance brown could be extremely despondent about his current health issue with his foot, causing him to keep to himself

Nope....It gets crazier..

Report: Antonio Brown Threatens to Quit Football over Helmet Grievance..

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown has reportedly filed a grievance against the NFL for banning a helmet he wore throughout his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers since it's no longer certified by the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE).

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Friday league sources believe Brown, who will argue his case in front of an arbitrator, may be sitting out portions of training camp because of the helmet issue in addition to the extreme frostbite he reportedly suffered while using a cryotherapy chamber in France last month.

Schefter later added Brown has even threatened to quit the NFL if his helmet isn't allowed:

And now this: Raiders’ WR Antonio Brown has told team officials that, unless he gets to wear his old helmet, he will not play football again, per league sources. And more....

He got a ton of guaranteed money.. And as a Steelers fan I could see over the last few years he's become 'unstable'.. Maybe that's not the correct word, BUT he's spiraling down hill.. It's more than his feet. Oakland took a chance, and might be sorry they did...

as a sports official - football included - it is a liability issue if i knowingly allow a player to use such equipment without the NOCSAE designation in high school or college athletic events. that is one thing we must receive in pre-game with the coaches; their publicly spoken affirmation that their players are properly equipped in compliance with the league rules
the NFL is spending $millions trying to develop safer helmets; can't imagine that organization backing aways from safety standards or that the players union would advocate doing so. i would bet brown is on is own, here; a losing battle

Agreed.. I can't see the NFL backing down, not in this day and age of concussion law suits and the limelight being shined brightly on concussions in ALL sports....

So AB gets his guaranteed money and doesn't have to play.

Yep.. Pretty good deal... As I said, the Raiders took a chance. They may get burnt. As a fan, me and a million other Steeler fans had enough of Brown's act and wanted him gone 2-3 years ago. And last year he just flat out quit on the team. If fans can see what he was becoming, the Raiders and their millions of $'s should have seen it too.

But we'll see.

BTW.. I can't say good luck tonight, but it's fun having meaningful games in August. And tonight is pretty meaningful.. Shea, whoops, Citifield will be rocking.. lol

The wild card race in the NL might be really....wild....

So, Jack, you want to go on the record re the DC NFL franchise and/or Kirk Cousins?

:2wave:

Not sure what your question is. Too soon to tell about the Redskins. I think Cousins will be fine.

If he is lucky, he will be fine. But, it's reasonable to conclude that he is not ever going to take another NFL snap.
