I would of tried to squeeze a couple more good Games out of Eli to boost his trade stock. That being said i think he’s getting a raw deal. He’s had no running game and no notable receivers for weeks now.

Yeah, but again his accuracy problems and happy feet have been going on for more that 'weeks'.

The Giants offense has been struggling for a few years now.

Many are pointing to Beckham's injury for this years problems. But the Giants are a below .500 team even when Beckham's in the lineup.

If Eli plays next year, he will need to go to a team that is a QB away from being a winner. Weird as it might be, I wouldnt be shocked to see him as a Redskin next year if Cousins goes in FA.

I hope not. Redskins have failed too often with other teams' has-beens.

Jags are the obvious choice for Eli. They got a good defense and just need a QB that won't make a ton of mistakes. Plus Couglin is there.

I don't see him going to Washington. I don't know all the ins and outs of how trades/FA etc go in the NFL. I'm a baseball guy. But if the Giants have to trade ELI I also doubt they will trade him within the division.

I could be wrong, but I think his dollars are guaranteed til the end of this year and he has a $5 mil bonus owing sometime in March and then 2 years, not guaranteed, remaining on his contract. I wouldn't doubt that the ownership/management of the Giants decided they could kill two birds with one shot - a) get Eli to walk away from the team, saving salary this year and b) have McAdoo take all the blame for the benching and then fire McAdoo, Eli's guy, at the end of the season.

Giants should have tried to trade him if this was their plan/play and it didn't just occur to them this weekend. I'm betting there would have been at least a few takers who'd offer up a couple of 2nd/3rd round draft choices.

My guess is that, presuming Borttles tanks the rest of the year or in the playoffs, the Jags will look to pick up Eli because of Coughlin's connections with him and the respect the two have for each other. Other possibility is the Jets, just to stick it to the Giants, Eli liking living in NYC.

I don't really think he has much to offer.

Interesting trade or FA destination might be Denver, following Peyton.

If I'm Eli, I'm breathing a sigh of relief. Giants suck, and he would have been a lamb to slaughter over the next 5-6 weeks.

Joe Webb was the best QB on the panthers' squad
hope he gets a shot to show us he is a first team QB
plus, he is already familiar with throwing the long ball to Kelvin Benjamin

I don't think this is good news.

Great news, Mozilla FireFox will now be helping out Bears fans! I've known about this tactic since last year.

https://sports.yahoo.com/firefox-wants-help-bears-fans-fire-fox-movement-213423612.html

“We empathize with Bears fans who are frustrated with their team,” Firefox CMO Jascha Kaykas-Wolff told 670 The Score. “Being unsatisfied with the internal workings of something you care about? We’ve been there. To release Firefox Quantum, our fastest browser ever, we had to bear down and replace many out-of-date and under-performing components. While it was at times difficult, we managed to soldier on, put more weight on our big shoulders, and as a result shipped an incredible product that sparked a huge increase in interest and downloads.

“We’re not here to start any trouble, but unfortunately, the logo used in the stands in Philadelphia was out of date. If any Firefox fans are planning on carrying a Firefox Logo to an upcoming sporting event and sitting in a highly visible location in the stadium, please send us a note on Twitter and we’ll do our best to get you on-brand.”

I don't think this is good news.

I was forced to watch this abortion during dinner last night, seeing how it was on every screen in the joint. I probably broke my record set when I ate between flights at the airport last week, gulping down my food and asking for the bill in less than 20 minutes after sitting down.

I made it to the middle of the 3rd quarter or so.

Washington is not a good team, simple as that.

Redskins have run out of football players. That finally caught up with them last night.

All teams have injuries. But I'm not a Gruden fan, so I'm bias. Neither Gruden..

Not like this.

[h=3]2017 Washington Redskins Injuries | Pro-Football-Reference.com[/h]https://www.pro-football-reference.com › Teams › Washington Redskins

Key. Probable. the player has a 75% chance of playing. Questionable. the player has a 50% chance of playing. Doubtful. the player has a 25% chance of playing. Out. the player is out. Physically Unable to Perform. the player is on the physically unable to perform list. Injured Reserve. the player is on theinjured reserve list.

I am a fan of Jay Gruden.

Like I said, I don't like Gruden. I'm not a Redskins fan. I'm bias. But all teams suffer through injuries. The 'amount' of injuries don't always tell the whole story though.

Lhe 'amount' of injuries don't always tell the whole story though.

This is absolutely true. Take the Redskins injury list for example...

Starting SS
Starting NT
Starting ILB
Starting Kicker
Starting DE
Starting Center
Starting WR
First string 3rd down back
Starting Guard
Starting RB
Starting OLB

That's just IR. Non-season ended injuries, and when those happen, matter as well. For example, TJ Clemmings was our #4 OT but goes on IR due to him playing because our #3 OT was out for multiple weeks, who would've been playing in place of our #1 or #2 OT's who have missed multiple full or partial games, all of which led to our #5 OT having to play significant minutes of games for us.

Or our #1 Center going on IR causing our #2 center to play only to be injured necessitating the start of the #3 Center.

Or the fun story of our ILBS, where we were starting our #5 OLB because our #2 went down to IR, followed by our #3 going to IR, followed by our #4 becoming injured.

Now injuries are in no means an excuse, every team faces them. And while the Redskins may be piling up, I'd still say on the whole they're not as impactful to our chances this season as a single, solitary injury up in Green Bay. HOWEVER, what I can say is that in 20+ years of being an avid football fan, I cannot recall a season that the Redskins, or any other team I've kept up with, have had the kind of injury luck...especially along the offensive line...as the Redskins have had this season. Doesn't mean there hasn't been, but I can't recall one that I've seen.

Redskins have run out of football players. That finally caught up with them last night.

BS excuse for that piss poor loss.

Lack of players isn't what caused Jamison Crowder to drop a ball clearly in his hands, followed by fumbling a punt return, that absolutely destroyed any momentum the team had and gave the Cowboys a feeling of new life. Lack of players wasn't what caused our #2 CB to be on Dez for those throws into the end zone.

Did all our injuries hurt us? Sure they did. The lack of Zeke and Lee for the Cowboys hurt as well. But had all the regular players we rely on actually performed like they're capable of, that is a W in the Skins corner regardless of the lack of players we may've had.

The injuries the Redskins have are what's separating them from being a good team rather than a league average; it's not what cost them the game against another league average team last night.

I made it to the middle of the 3rd quarter or so.

Washington is not a good team, simple as that.

Making decisions based on a single game as a snapshot is...frankly...idiotic. Especially in the current NFL where the vast majority of teams change week to week, and hell quarter to quarter at times. The Skins played like garbage last night. The skins looked like legitimate superbowl contenders against Oakland earlier in the season. They could barely seem to get out of their way against a ****ty Giants team two weeks ago. Yet they looked like they were absolutely dominating the redhot saints until they reverted to standard Washington sports form the last 4 minutes.

Single snapshots of teams to judge is just poor. If it wasn't, the Steelers would've needed to pack the season in early on when they looked like garbage instead of being superbowl contenders as they are now.

Fumbles are fumbles, no excuse. But I'd say the offensive line and front seven on defense clearly showed the effects of multiple injuries/absences.

My opinion about this ONE Redskins game was NOT a 'snapshot'.

I was basing it on their season. They're 5-7 and going to LA where they will lose again.

Makes NO SENSE. He's a franchise QB. Sign his ass.

Weren't the Saints missing both starting CBs?

I'm not a Jets fan, and it turns out it doesn't matter because the Jets ended up scoring a TD on the next play anyway.

But I am beginning to wonder why the NFL has the replay. Jets QB does a QB sneak, the replay shows him and the ball was well over the goalline. But the replay guys say no TD.

All these years and they still can't get it right.
