Without a running game and all the help on offense he had last year Dak doesn't look like a HoF QB.

I'm probably being too hard on him, the over the top media hype of last year wasn't his fault. But I did want to see how he would do when the defenses caught up with him and the Dallas offense struggled. Well, he ain't doing so good.

Dak had 35 yds. passing in the 1st half today. Not good.

Sophomore slump--typically they come about for quarterbacks because defenses around the league study film all off-season, and they come up with schemes to stop the new hot, young QB. Add to that no running game....and, yeah. You get what you see--no real offense.

Wenz and Goff arent having sophomore slumps.

Goff was so bad last year no one studied tape on him--even if they did, what good would it have done?--he was that bad. That's obvious. He'll have his down year next year. Wentz wasn't all that in his rookie year either. Last place in the NFC Least, IIRC. Dak and Winston OTOH tore up the league as rooks last year. So, they clearly are not having good years this year.

He was over hyped from the beginning. He is a pretty good QB, but not even close to what they made him out to be.

Yeah, like I said. Probably not his fault. Being Dallas is a 'national' favorite team, and with Jones as the owner. Plus taking over for Romo. The media love those type of stories. And I'm sure the Cowboys did their own fair share of hyping him too....

IMO, yesterday played out predictably. Vikings jump way out in front early, and Detroit makes a feeble attempt to come back. Chargers are better than Dallas and a viable playoff contender. Dallas is not. And, the Giants straight-up suck.

Is Eli the least accurate QB to ever win two Superbowls? Gawd, I only watched about 20 minutes of that game, and he missed wide open receivers twice.

Giants receivers had several drops too.

I saw a lot of Redskin drops...perfect passes that they just could not hold onto. Cousins was dead on accurate in the plays I saw him throwing the ball.

He is already wealthy, and will soon be a very rich man, somewhere.

He's never been an accurate passer. Even those 2 SB wins the receivers and defense did more for those wins that Eli did.

In his 1st SB win he was 19 for 34 passes for 255 yards.. Not exactly overwhelming. The catch that won the game for the Giants had much more to do with Tyree that Eli. He just threw the ball up for grabs.

And throughout the years Eli's regular seasons performance is average at best.

But his name is manning, an he plays in NY. So............................

KC looks like they have totally forgotten how to play football. 13-3 Buffalo in the 3rd.

Philly is eating Chicago for Lunch. And, Cinci is about to give the locals hope for a playoff opportunity, with an easy win over Cleveland to go 5-6 in the weak AFC.

Speaking of the AFC, Tennessee is trailing the Colts by 10. A loss drop them to 6-5, opening up both Wildcard slots for about 10 teams to have at least an outside shot.

Tenn saved their season with a comeback win. KC did not.

Jets played another good game, but lost, They take waaaaaaaay too many penalties. My God, over the last 25 years they have to be the least disciplined team in the NFL. 2:30 mins left, Jets down by 5.. Carolina ball, It's 3rd down and the Panthers throw an incomplete pass, 4th down they have to punt and the Jets are going to get the ball back with a chance to win it. Nope, roughing the passer, and it was an obvious roughing the passer. 1st down Panthers and game over.

And the Refs kind of screwed them too on a Jet TD that was overturned.

But those kind of things happen to bad teams.

i agree with you on that bogus ruling on the TD. passer maintained control
and the easy 6 point pass dropped in the first quarter really hurt, too

the panthers did not win - the jets lost

Had to make it tempting in the end, but the Saints finally met their match. Here's to hoping they can get healthy on defense again in time for Carolina.

A very entertaining game last night between the Packers and Steelers, two of the NFL's premier franchises. Of course it would have been more interesting with Rodgers playing, but I have to give kudos to Hundley for an excellent game and he seems to be a real keeper and proving the Packers correct in sticking with him and not succumbing to the cries to sign Kaepernick. Hundley looked really poised in the pocket and he's learned a thing or two from Rodgers about moving up when the pass rush gets close. As well, the Packer's defense has been playing pretty well lately although the Steelers' offense is really starting to click. Big Ben also looks a lot more mobile this year having not been beat up so much in the early games.

Bottom line from last night, for me, Steelers look ready to make a serious push for the Super Bowl and Green Bay looks like a sleeper playoff team, if it's not too late, with Rodgers soon to be ready and Hundley looking solid if Rodgers can't make it back until late. Would be too bad if an inferior team like the Lions or the Panthers made it and the Packers didn't - no chance either the Lions or Panthers win the Super Bowl, Packers just might.

Philly is eating Chicago for Lunch.

Everybody is eating Chicago for lunch. Im not even sure the Bears will win against the Niners next week.

I hope the Bears hire either Matt Patricia or Frank Reich as their next head coach next year.

In case you didn't hear, Marc Trestman just won another Grey Cup with a team that was in last place last year. Maybe, just maybe, the Bears need to acquire some talent that can be coached and not always toss out the coach on a regular basis. Successful teams, teams like the Steelers, the Patriots, the Packers, do a great job of deciding what type of man they want as coach, go and hire him, and then spend decades with him bringing him the talent he needs to be successful. I know of no franchise, in any sport, that is annually successful by rotating out coaching personnel on an annual basis.

The CFL is nothing like the NFL, its more akin to US College football. Trestman was fired by the Ravens as their OC after he got let go by the Bears so the problem was him. The Bears only made the problem worse by hiring an equally bad coach in Fox, and not getting a lot of talent in either.

The sad fact is that the Bears have many problems, from the ownership on down- so it starts from there.

3. Unless Bradys phone had scientific proof that proved footballs do not naturally deflate in cold weather, his phone adds nothing to the debate.

Cousins certainly has a stronger case, in my view, than Matthew Sheppard in Detroit had for being the highest paid QB in the league. Brady, if he didn't forego the cash, would be the obvious choice for highest paid, even at this late point in his career, but of the active QBs with a few years experience, Cousins is in the top handful at worse. I've got a feeling that many Ravens fans would die to have Cousins for the same salary they're paying Joe Flacco to stink up the league on a weekly basis.

Redskins are paying Cousins a good salary but I can't understand why they've been stringing him along for several years now. If he goes on the open market this year, as he likely will, he will get offers in the Sheppard range, that's how important a competent QB is to the success of a team.

Do you mean Matt Stafford?
