Nfl 2017 [W:1941,2227]

I firmly believe Cousins will win a Super Bowl some day. I hope it's with the Redskins. That said, the team's handling of his situation for the past two years has seemed to me to be shortsighted and self-destructive. I have no idea how this will play out.

I'd like to be Mike McCartney. No matter what happens, he's in for a big pay day as long as Cousins stays healthy. It looks to me like the Redskins squandered an opportunity back in May that will cost them one way or the other.

2 negatives = positive.

The patriots are as guilty of deflating football as trump is for working with the russians.

Completely false and a witch hunt of epic proportions.

Sure. That's why Brady destroyed his cellphone.

1. Brady uses burner phones all the time and disposes of them. This is not uncommon.

2. If your employer asked for your phone, would you give it to them? That's an invasion of privacy.

3. Unless Bradys phone had scientific proof that proved footballs do not naturally deflate in cold weather, his phone adds nothing to the debate.

BS. In the law enforcement context that would have been obstruction of justice. I regarded it (and still do) as an admission of guilt.

I agree. I think Brady did it, but IMO it's no big deal. It's like baseball stadiums cutting the grass a certain way if the home team has a couple of good bunters on the team, or wetting the base-paths(slowing them down) if the visiting team has base stealers on their team.

When the whole deflategate broke and I read Rodgers like the footballs harder and the Packers kept them pumped up, I decided then this was just gamesmanship by a home team.

As it went on IMO the NFL handled it terribly.

Had Brady and the Pats reacted as you did it would have been fine. They did not, and by their own actions brought on all that followed.

Leave your idiotic political commentary out of this thread.

1. The only people who use burners and destroys them are drug dealers and other criminals. So Brady is in good company.

2. This was an investigation over a possible wrongdoing. If Brady was innocent he would have given them the phone.

3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deflategate#Wells_Report

The Wells Report relied on scientific analysis performed by Exponent and supported by Dr. Daniel Marlow, a professor of Physics at Princeton University. This analysis concluded that no studied factors accounted for the loss of air pressure exhibited by the Patriots game balls. The Wells Report asserted that the scientific study supported the report's conclusion that the loss of air pressure may be accounted for by human intervention.

BOTH sides handled it terribly. IMO the NFL and Goodell handled it worse than the Pats. But yeah the Pats and Brady acted guilty, because they probably were. And they handled the whole mess poorly too.

I'm expecting an incredibly empty house Thursday for the Redskins / Giants game.

The Lions stunk for so many years I use to scream that the NFL should take the Thanksgiving game away from Detroit. Screw tradition, watching the pitiful Lions every year was torture.

I admit this year it should be a good game, 1 of the best game of the week.

Minny vs. Detroit

Vikings Lions should be a very telling game. Detroit's season will be done if they lose. Vikings will have a lock on the division if they win.

Dallas is done. I look for the Chargers to kick serious ass today. Chargers have a shot to win the AFC West, especially if KC continues to lose.

Night game? Not much to care about there. Giants Skins...who really cares anymore about either one of those two teams.

Tsk tsk. We Redskins fans always care, even when it hurts.

Man, I'm sorry. What a disappointing year Washington is having...along with Denver, Oakland and Tampa Bay. All of those teams were slated to do big things this year. Well, on the upside, if the Skins win, they move into a tie with Dallas and start seeing a real chance at snatching the second Wildcard spot.

Without a running game and all the help on offense he had last year Dak doesn't look like a HoF QB.

I'm probably being too hard on him, the over the top media hype of last year wasn't his fault. But I did want to see how he would do when the defenses caught up with him and the Dallas offense struggled. Well, he ain't doing so good.

Dak had 35 yds. passing in the 1st half today. Not good.
