Nfl 2017 [W:1941,2227]

I could not finish reading that, just far too depressing.

There is a saying among Minnesota fans....

WHEN I DIE I WANT THE MINNESOTA VIKINGS TO BE MY PALL BEARERS SO THEY CAN LET ME DOWN ONE LAST TIME.

The Red Sox and Cubs eventually won World Series, so no curse is eternal.

Big story today about heads exploding in Las Vegas when Vikings didn't kick the extra point. Seems there was a lot of money at 5.5 points.

I feel their pain but last on any team's list of importance should be to cater to gambling.

So I'm in a pick'em pool and sit in 3rd spot amongst almost 1900 participants. Winner gets a $3000 sports getaway package. I am 1 point from top spot but could heavily fall if I do not make the right picks from here on out (each game this weekend is worth 8 points and the SB is worth 16). I'm having a bitch of a time making my picks for the conference championships. Every hour I am changing my mind. It's hard for me because of my bias -- I am a longtime Eagles fan and hate the Patriots more than a Pauly Shore movie marathon. I think the Vikes vs Eagles game will be a close, low-scoring affair. As for Jax vs. NE, I feel the game will be a lot closer than most think. Then again, I think NE is being coy, especially with Brady's "injured hand." **** I hate 'em.

I never wager. But it was an interesting side light.

I agree. My ex got pissed when the teams didn't care about covering the spread. Made me laugh -- as if they should risk potential injury so they can cater to the gamblers. And this is coming from someone who does somewhat gamble -- to me, it's all part of the process. Win some, lose some.

Unsolicited advice: Go with your heart on the Eagles. Chances to back your team in a conference championship game are rare and should be cherished. Take it from a longtime Redskins fan.
In the AFC, take the Jags. That will put you in a minority position and should really strengthen your chances if they pull off the upset. Of course, if the Pats prevail . . . .

LOL... pretty much that EXACT script has been running though my head all week.

Maybe I should consult my Magic 8-Ball...

I'm definitely rooting for the dawgs today. I'm sure no one really wants to see Minnesota vs Jacksonville in the Superbowl. But, I certainly do. :)

Left my in laws house in NH and I’m currently in traffic for the stadium so we can start tailgating. See you all on the other side.

P.S Patriots by 17

We Ready; We Ready; We Ready; For Y'all.

Folks should consider these Dudes put their bodies and brains on the line every play, as we recently saw with Shazier. Remember Darryl Stingley ?

At Milwaukee Brewer games, they open the gates 3 hours before the game. Tailgating tents are already up for events. I love it up there. This is how we do it.

Nationals fans I spoke with last September couldn't believe how great this 5 to 6 hour experience was; plus how cheap Brewer tickets were ...

I will be in Saint Paul watching the Vikings/Eagles game .............. GO Vikings

too bad you will be at the wrong stadium

on the good side, traffic should not be a problem

just hope its a good game

I will be in my living room  .................. I hope it is a good game also  ...............

I would not have guessed that, which may explain why I misread the spread.

We've reached the point where QBs like Wentz are considered 7+ point players, though I'd say Rodgers and Bradfy are more like 14 point players. We've seen this with crucial offensive lineman, like the LT for Dallas ...

Decibel level screen -- cool
