New Quinnipiac Poll of Texas: Biden 45% Trump 44%

I've been saying for years the L party should concentrate on local elections and then build from there, instead of waisting money on presidential elections they have no hope of winning.

The Libertarian Party does run in local and state elections as well.

US elections have been the lesser of two evils for a long time. We need to address that....

2016 was the last election to get a 'lesser of the two evils' vote from this Independent. Until Americans get off the Party bus and start voting for someone actually good for the country with sound and fair reasoning, and a decent personality (yes, personality is very important), nothing will change for the better, and will just keep getting worse.

I know they do. Just saying that's where they should concentrate their resources.

They put a lot of effort into State races. There's no reason they shouldn't also run for larger offices also.

As has been the trend in our Presidential elections, it all comes down to which stinking, giant pile of **** you're most willing to tolerate for 4 years.

At least the number of POTUS party primary choices seem to be expanding. While we might not have better quality, at least we have more quantity.

at least we have more quantity.

But in the end, we still have two choices

Texas (TX) Poll - July 22, 2020 - Texans Say 2 To 1 That Coronav | Quinnipiac University Connecticut

In the race for the White House, 45 percent of voters support former Vice President Joe Biden, while 44 percent back President Trump. That compares to early June when the race was equally tight and voters backed Trump 44 percent to Biden's 43 percent. In today's survey, Democrats back Biden 94 - 3 percent, independents back Biden 51 - 32 percent and Republicans back Trump 89 - 6 percent.

"With crises swirling through American society and a country deeply divided, there's no other way to slice it. It's a tossup in Texas," Malloy added

Biden's lead will increase.

Trump is an incompetent idiot that still doesn't have his act together with respect to Covid-19.

Just make sure everyone you know gets out and votes for Biden in November.

I smile when I think about Trump seeing these polls and exploding on his staff.

I didn't vote for either of these sinking piles when they ran.

I didn't vote for Biden twice when he was Obama's running mate.

I didn't vote for Trump in 2016 (voted for Johnson).

That being said, I know which one of the piles I'm voting for in November, and it sure as hell isn't the pile that is polluting the Oval Office today.

Yep, I guess I should have said initially since "D" and R" are all that seem to be viable in the general POTUS election.

It is interesting, that a State that's been so traditionally hard-red could even have Biden and Trump within margins of error between each other. We'll see though. If Texas ends up evolving into a Purple state, it may end up forcing changes within the GOP.

Of late, they are red, but Texas used to have a dem female governor. Anyone remember Ann Richards? I do.

Where are these candidates going to come from?

Oh, the US in general has a party problem.

Perhaps because they're made up of citizens themselves?

Like I said, we have a citizenry problem

Well they're made up of the New Aristocracy for the most part and have frozen out political competition that would keep them beholden to the People. We're in this mess because of decades of Republocrat control.

And.... who's fault do ya think it is for that?

Mostly the folk who've bought into the false dichotomy of "there's only two viable parties" rhetoric and got captured by hyperpartisanship.

.

So I was right, we have a CITIZENRY problem?

It's kinda like all roads lead to Rome

Not a lot, but Libertarians hold 235 elected offices nationwide.

And.... you ask the average American what a Libertarian is and they don't even know
