The Nations League finals are upon us, they participants are Portugal, Switzerland, England and the Netherlands.

For the soccer fans among us, who do you think will win it? The first 2 teams are Portugal vs. Switzerland on Wednesday the 5th of June and England vs. the Netherlands will be played Thursday the 6th.

The winners of the 2 matches will go to the finale of the National league and the losing 2 teams go to the small finale on Sunday the 9th in the afternoon and the finale of the 2 winning teams will be the same day but in the evening.

Big favorite must be England but the Netherlands are dangerous outsiders.

The Netherlands has 2 players who won the champions league last weekend with Wijnaldum and great defender van Dijk. The goalie is Cillessen currently playing for Barca.

The defense is top notch IMHO with Patrick van Aanholt (Crystal Palace), Nathan Ake (AFC Bournemouth), Daley Blind (Ajax), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Denzel Dumfries (PSV), Hans Hateboer (Atalanta Bergamo), Matthijs de Ligt (Ajax), Stefan de Vrij (Internazionale)

The midfield isn't too bad with Donny van de Beek (Ajax), Frenkie de Jong (Ajax), Davy Pröpper (Brighton & Hove Albion), Marten de Roon (Atalanta Bergamo), Kevin Strootman (Olympique Marseille), Tonny Vilhena (Feyenoord), Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool)

With the attack coming from Ryan Babel (Fulham), Steven Bergwijn (PSV), Memphis Depay (Olympique Lyon), Luuk de Jong (PSV), Quincy Promes (Sevilla)

Coach of course is former top player Ronald Koeman.

So the Netherlands clearly is not without a chance. We did beat France and Germany to win our pool in the Nations League.

So who do you think will win in the end?

Portugal will win on a destructive defensive game and Ronaldo scoring with all the usual people calling him Goat.

But saying that, I hope Holland does, but England at least on paper has the strongest team.

Will be a very different England team given the amount of players that were involved in the last week and the weekend.

It is ridiculous that the Dutch remained so strong the longer they played. They have played so many more minutes this season than the England players. The Dutch selection in total played 87,537 minutes or almost 1500 hours in total.

The English players in total played 73,995 minutes or 1233 and a bit hours.

Still don’t think that was offside

Southgate claims fatigue factored in loss. Ooh please, the Dutch have had much harder seasons when it came to playing minutes than the English. To claim something is down to fatigue in a match means you did not prepare your players properly or your players were not fit enough to begin with. A soccer match is not a sprint, it is a marathon (a bit). Frenkie our star on midfield ran 14 kilometers in the match today. And he has played an exhausting season with Ajax and the National team.

Sorry, but to look for fatigue as a factor in this game is an easy excuse for any coach. His job was to select players who are fit and ready to go for 120 minutes if need be. Or who know how to pace them and put in the yards and the miles of running where it counts.

All those Ajax players got a nice rest for this game after Spurs dumped them out of the champions league.
