Trump wins. Because at the end of the day.. people will vote what makes sense for their pocketbook and their personal lives.

If they vote for what makes sense for their pocketbook, then Trump loses the midwest votes which gave him his flukish electoral college win. Farmers, for example, are torn. The majority of midwestern farmers continue to try to show support for Trump's trade wars -- they bravely say they think Trump is trying to do what's best -- but the majority also say Trump's trade wars are hurting them.

So if they vote what makes sense for their pocketbook, then Trump loses. They won't necessarily cross over and vote for the Democrat but there should be great attrition from Trump's original set of farm voters.

Trump's idea to buy Greenland is far from absurd.
Shows how "ridiculous" and ignorant the PM is when it comes to the history of our country. It's not like Greenland is the first country we have had interest in purchasing or have purchased or will purchase in the future.

What actually happened was that he asked a question and complimented the government and the people... was told no by some outraged governmental officials who then insulted him... and then he called their response nasty. And here we have a ****load of hacks condemning Trump.

His personal behavior and twitter account is not at all surprising. I am happy many of his policies have been tied up in courts. I think we could be in a worse position than we actually are. I do think he is damaging the immigration system and trying to make it more difficult on legal immigrants, but I excepted his anti immigration campaign would be much worse. His attacks on asylum seekers, decreasing the number of legal immigrants allowed each year, and attacking "chain migration" is going to have real consequences nonetheless.

He has folded to the worst of the GOP. Not only breaking his promises on things like healthcare, but threatening people who refused to vote for the opposite of what he promised. And he's insane. Now I don't know how he managed to keep up the competent businessman persona before he was elected. Well, it helped that he had billions of dollars to throw around, so he if lost a little, he still had a lot and could pretend it was good business decisions which kept him in that bracket. And it helped that The Apprentice was highly edited and what ended up on the cutting room floor is locked up tight somewhere that we won't ever see it.

Basically, I didn't realize that he was a lunatic. But he really is. I knew from what did make it onto The Apprentice show that he was, shall we say, culturally insensitive. And ... oh well, I'll stop there and repeat that he's much much worse than I ever imagined someone who was able to wake up and go to work every day could possibly be.

Here we can start to agree... although in this day and age, where Tweeting is so normal (and the response from the Danish Government was also in a Tweet, (so don't be hypocritical about it) the idea of Tweeting an idea is not so strange. He didn't actually offer to buy Greenland in his Tweet. There was not amount... nothing about availability... it was not anything official. Trump refers to himself as the US. She didn't say the US was absurd. She said the discussion was absurd.

I know a person in real life, and they say very similar things. They thought he was an actual, good businessman, and that he would shed the crazy guy act. She is really shocked and surprised by his behavior like you.

I never really thought he was a good business man. I have a lot of good friends in NYC, and for years, they said he has been lying about his net worth. He used to blow up the NYC media with self promotion all the time. He knew how to use the media to his advantage, and he created a false narrative about himself. He would call Howard Stern, anything. He wanted the press. He wanted to be relevant, and he constantly pushed an image of a billionaire.

Everything he did was self promotion, which was promotion of Trump Incorporated.

We always knew he was a fraud.

Also, I have always viewed his behavior... how he always states he is the best, the brightest, etc. He is the best businessman who has ever lived. It's all a reflection of his own sensitivity and inability to admit failures. If anything says he is not as successful as he claims to be, it's his own behavior and proclamations about how special and great he is.
