Agreed since the dems have passed eight bills out of congress awaiting the senate vote. I've noticed on here it's not polite to disagree with the side that only wants to win for themselves and not the majority of the country like the party passing these bills out of the house.

For years the house,both republican and democratic have passed many bills that are not taken up in the senate. With neither party having 60 votes there,and with mostly straight party line votes little can be passed in the senate. To say one party controls the senate with 51 or even 59 seats is just another fabrication of the media and the lemmings who believe the nonsense.

The House Dem bills to reopen the government almost certainly have 60 votes in the Senate, given that they passed the Senate via voice vote less than a month ago. This crisis is being manufactured entirely by McConnell and Trump.

If Trump wants to die on the government shutdown hill, Pelosi will certainly let him. It's just now dawning on Trump that he no longer controls Congress.

The Trump/Kushner/Mulvaney offer yesterday was a [bumbling] nonstarter. All Trump offered is restoring the Dreamer protections he himself removed.

That's not going to cut it, nor will it extricate Trump from the deepening political pit he's been digging for himself.

I can't say it better myself, except to reiterate that nothing happens unless and until the government shutdown is ended.
The Republicans might just get their Donald Trump wall money but not as a condition of reopening the government.

Shutting down the government is an act of war, and that war must come to a close before anything is negotiated because there is no negotiating to correct something which never should have been tried in the first place that hurts so many Americans.
Sorry Trump, you do not get to declare war and then demand that the people you declared war on apologize and reward you for doing so.

The longer Trump continues his war, the less chance he will ever get his wall money.

Sure, go ahead. Dismiss the concerns of someone who worked closely with Trump and who helped shape the illusion which Trump used to win the White House. An illusion that Trump himself has proven to have been just that by his incredible ineptitude, while displaying a recklessness which shows that the ghost-writer's fears might not be as hyperbolic as that kind of statement usually is.
