A California police department is using a creative solution to hide the identities of some suspects by covering their faces with Lego heads in booking photos and mugshots.

The Murrieta Police Department explained on Monday that the placement of Lego faces is an effort to comply with a state law that prohibits law enforcement agencies from sharing images of suspects arrested for nonviolent crimes on social media.

Not only does this look silly, but it could also be a Trademark violation. They are just asking to be sued by The LEGO Group.

Wow! Georgia's "arestee's" should be very pissed about this. Here is the good ol' state of Georgia we have a publication available to the public called the Georgia Gazette. If you've been arrested in this state for ANYTHING, your mug shot and charges are a part of the Gazette for ALL to see! No lego's here!

Same here in Tennessee. I have an acquaintance who unfortunately looks at the site daily to see if her addict daughter has been arrested, again.

She has been multiple times. Sad story, really. The daughter has lost her kids, a mobile home gifted to her by mom, most of her teeth. She'll either get clean or doesn't have long left on this world. Tragic stuff.
