I'm perfectly happy with these decisions at this time.

Would have been happier if it had happened sooner, but better late than even later.

Good thing she is not is New York. They don't have bail. She would walk.

Yes, and she completely violated her obligation as a parent to protect her children. That was only mistake #1.

The fact that her children are nowhere to be found and certain people close to her are dead - including her own brother and her niece's husband - raises suspicions about her as possibly being involved in murder.

Being involved in a whackadoodle doomsday religious cult certainly doesn't help her reputation either.

The people dead (that we know of) are Lori's husband (killed by her brother), Lori's brother (cause unknown) and Chad's wife (cause unknown). Lori's niece's husband's vehicle was shot at allegedly from the Vallow's Jeep Wrangler. He didn't die.

I stand corrected on her niece's husband, but the others died very suspiciously and I wouldn't be surprised if she was involved in those too.

Hopefully there will be more police investigation, and a judge and jury which will hold her accountable for her actions.

She knows something. She knows a lot.
What she decides to say will be interesting.

Shes guilty of plenty of things. Hopefully as the charges build, she cracks, or more evidence is discovered.

exactly. there is nothing public which tells us she did anything wrong

there is PLENTY to investigate, but it is premature to insist she is guilty of anything

When dependent minors are reported missing by family members and schools that is when the police becomes involved. She has lied to the police as to the whereabouts of the children.

This is similar to when a child is suspected of being abused at home by other family members and the school. CPS should be alerted and if necessary the police will come in.

Many here are feeling she shouldn't be arrested as all. But when children are involved the community needs to stand up for them.

how do we know those children are missing?

don't get me wrong; i suspect there is some wrongdoing. however, there is no evidence of that yet and we are unable to assert the woman did anything illegal

Her arrest and $5 million bail suggests otherwise.

1. NO ONE has seen them since September and there's no evidence that they are in anyone's care.
2. They aren't in school.
3. The 17-year old doesn't have her phone with her.
4. The boy has autism and had a service dog. The mother gave the dog away saying they didn't need it anymore.
5. They told Chad's parents that Lori had no children.
6. Lori lied to police about where the kids are.
7. Lori asked her friend to lie to police and tell them JJ was with her.

No, she hasn't had her day in court yet. But she has been charged with at least two crimes.

If the missing was her former husband it would just have been a missing person alert. But since children are of concern there is more of a increased timely response.

That there is why we should make missing children a top priority in this country. Over 1,700 kids are killed each year is not acceptable. Just today it is an estimated 4.6 children were killed from abuse and neglect.

She has been enjoying this little cat and mouse game for some time now.

If they find those children alive this would be the news story of the year. But I can't see how they have survived unless she left them with some cult group.

If they are found dead and she goes to prison she better ask for solitary confinement.

How is not looking for or reporting your kids missing 'not doing anything wrong?' She knew they were missing...they checked with their school and the grandparents were asking them.

See my post 219. They were contacted by their schools. They were contacted by the grandparents.

By law the kids must be in school or homeschooled. So LE has every right to investigate the fact that they were not.

She also violated a court order to produce the kids. Broke the law right there.
