My sister in law-who is 100% Chinese was pretty liberal. Her two daughters are mixed-my brother is white. Her oldest is at Yale, her youngest will attend this fall, but the recent stories about Asians being victimized by affirmative action has caused her to shift fairly significant to the right. Two of the sports I grew up playing and continue to participate in, have tons of Asians and I see this more and more.

I am forced to conclude that this boils down to the fact that beauty pageants are generally risk averse and can't stand confrontations or controversy.

The SPLC is about as credible as Sean Hannity, and became so in the same way as he did : by recognizing that funding comes from hyperbole and accusation, not accuracy.
