The Miss World America organization is under fire after stripping a President Donald Trump–supporting model of her Miss Michigan title over “racist, Islamophobic, and insensitive” tweets.

Kathy Zhu, 20, is a University of Michigan student who won the 2019 Michigan World America title on Sunday. However, her reign was cut short after organizers became aware of Zhu’s controversial Twitter account days later.

“Your social media accounts contain offensive, insensitive and inappropriate content,” DeLaurie wrote. “Therefore, and effective immediately, MWA does not recognize you as a participant of any sort or in any capacity as it relates to any and all events of MWA.”

Zhu claimed that the decision was made on the basis of her refusal to try on a hijab in 2018 — something that sparked controversy amongst her fellow University of Central Florida students on World Hijab Day on campus — as well as over her tweets about black gun violence.

So here we have another example of out of control intolerance by liberals who strip Miss Michigan of her title for nothing more than having a different viewpoint than themselves. I can't even fathom what will happen if these people get in power as the thought police will make sure you have no freedom of thought or expression if it doesn't strictly adhere to their worldview.


And yet these people claim we're fascists? Good grief.

In a text exchange posted online, a beauty pageant organizer also raised concerns with an October 2017 tweet by Zhu, who wrote: “Did you know the majority of black deaths are caused by other blacks? Fix problems within your own community first before blaming others.”

Zhu told The News she had posted that tweet in response to social media claims that “all cops are bad cops, all cops were killing blacks,” an explanation she was not able to provide pageant organizers.

“It wasn’t anything about blaming blacks specifically for violence,” said Zhu, who was born in China and raised in Florida. “I mean, every community has problems within it. I just shined light on that particular issue because of a subtweet of someone else.”

In an email exchange that Zhu published on Twitter, Miss World America state director Laurie DeJack told her that her social media accounts contain “offensive, insensitive and inappropriate content” in violation of pageant rules and conditions.

Apparently being conservative means being a racist idiot.

She asked "Did you know the majority of black deaths are caused by other blacks? Fix problems within your own community first before blaming others." What she other idiot racists don't realize that for every ethnic group they are most likely to be killed by someone in their own ethnic group. So, her little factoid is meaningless since it applies to all ethnic groups. You're most likely to be killed by a friend or family member.

Since she's a Trump supporter maybe she should follow Trump's advice and go fix the problems in China like her cult leader suggests.

She was just mad that she was too old for trump to check her out in the dressing room so she thought she could get his attention through Twitter.

This sort of attitude represents what is wrong this country. And I am sure if someone was fired for say supporting gay rights or ANTIFA, people like you would be screaming "fascism"
 
Apparently, this goes all the way back to 2018 over a Muslim woman being offended Zhu wouldn't let her put a Hijab on her head.

Apparently, this along with posting a statistical fact about black on black violence is enough to declare her racist, Islamaphobic, and insensitive.

On Thursday, Muslim American students at the University of Central Florida held a “Try a Hijab” event to celebrate World Hijab Day on campus. Kathy Zhu, known as “Political Kathy” online for her conservative views and student at UCF, happened to walk by.

One of the students asked Zhu whether she wanted to try on a hijab. She declined and posted her thoughts on Twitter.

Shortly after, a Muslim student who happened to be in Zhu’s photo took to Twitter blasting her for taking a photo of her without her consent.





She also called for people to email UCF faculty to get Kathy expelled.



Zhu fired back at the student, saying that UCF is a public campus and she has a right to take photos. She also noted that declining to try on the hijab is not grounds for expulsion.

1) UCF is a public campus, meaning I can take pictures of anything, especially a public RSO group.
2) I took three pictures, you asked me if I want to wear this scarf of oppression, I politely declined, said thank you, and headed to class.

I am scouring the source pages for MWA, trying to see if I notice any "leftist" extremists and I am coming up with nothing.
Perhaps you could connect the dots, because if there is a commie conspiracy somewhere I must be missing it.

It is impossible for her to be racist as she does not represent the majority power, maybe in 20 years or so when China takes over we can revisit this conversation.

Congratulations :thumbs: this is probably the dumbest post on this thread.

Not wanting to wear a Hijab and recognizing that black-on-black violence massively outweighs the kind that gets all the media attention is hardly equivalent of a racial terror group like the KKK, any more than recognizing that cops are routinely more aggressive with blacks than with whites is the equivalent of being a member of the Black Panthers.

The majority in question is power and white people includes the US, EU, Russia and others. Chinese people will never be the majority power.
