Behold! The sexist double standard!

And a self-defeating one at that. If I were more naive, I'd have thought other men would have worked that bit out. Alas....

The key word you left out is 'married'. Married women and men who like sex a lot are normal, but girls who don't marry have sex are indeed sluts.

:lamo

If by "slut" you mean "normal, well-adjusted human being who refuses to let a sexist racist storybook filled with magical thinking written down by a priesthood seeking to consolidate shadow political power dictate their life to them"

Sorry. Sluts aren't normal or well-adjusted. They've been raised badly usually in irreligious homes.

Enjoying sex is normal and not being ashamed of it is well-adjusted. Having religious beliefs that say it is inherently immoral is not. In fact, nothing one does that does not harm another person is immoral.

And if you disagree with that, you disagree with your God for having given me a mind capable of logic and reason.

Sorry, friend. But regardless of what you believe, very bad consequences await those who have sex outside marriage. These people are almost always screwed up for other relationships, and invariably are incapable of lasting successful relationships. This is why morality is objective.

Strange. I had lots of sex with my then-girlfriend over nine years, then we married. That was 11 years ago.

:thinking

Maybe it's not about sex outside of marriage, but whether a person tends to do bad things or tends not to do bad things, and religion has nothing to do with that.

Maybe some people do bad things but can improve. Maybe some people are irretrievably bad, broken, and always do bad things. Maybe people are people and they make mistakes, but may or may not learn from them. And again, maybe that all has jack **** to do with religion.

That's fine. Posture all you like. There may be even some gullible people who buy it. But I don't have to say anything more. YOU know what the truth is.

And there is the moment you know when someone folds. Instead of responding to the substantive point, he tries to argue by labeling. "Posture" he says.

This is argument, not posturing:

If you want to be honest, respond to the substantive points and argument. Otherwise,

lol. There's no folding. I'm just not buying your tale. You aren't some exception to the rule. I've seen it too many times. If you break the rules, there is ALWAYS a price to be paid. Marriages that are preceded by a long period of shacking up have a lot of trouble.

I'm not married to someone I've been with for 20 years because someone on the internet has religious bigotry to defend. That is hilarious.

I hope you get stuff straightened out. But it will take a change of heart to make it.

What needs to be straightened out here, faux-moral one:

Tell me, what "stuff" specifically needs to be straightened out. Surely you can tell me what my specific problems are if God whispers in your ear.

Statistics for longevity of marriages which were preceded by sex are not good, the longer it went on, the worse for the marriage. But it's better to finally marry than to stay shacked up.

I really don't have any ****s to give about statistics about other marriages, especially not from a source that thinks a book written over several thousand years is literal truth. You claimed I had "stuff" to work out, so tell me. What stuff?

I am only allowed to speak in generalities, otherwise I might be accused of violating the rules, which maybe what you're really after.

If that's true, just a heads-up, he gotcha.

Do you have anything from a source that isn't horribly biased religious nutjobs?

A questionable source exhibits one or more of the following: extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency and/or is fake news. Fake News is the deliberate attempt to publish hoaxes and/or disinformation for the purpose of profit or influence (Learn More). Sources listed in the Questionable Category may be very untrustworthy and should be fact checked on a per article basis. Please note sources on this list are not considered fake news unless specifically written in the reasoning section for that source. See all Questionable sources.

Reasoning: Extreme Right, Propaganda

Notes: Focus on the Family is an American Christian conservative organization founded in 1977 by psychologist James Dobson, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is active in promoting an interdenominational effort toward its socially conservative views on public policy. Has a very extreme right-wing bias in reporting. Often makes false claims about the LGBTQ community. (D. Van Zandt 1/13/2017)+

I insist on equality and the law of large numbers! If women get to get used for just sex so should men. Any women want to make appointments? "equal play for equal work"!

Miley and Taylor are cool ........ face it.
