It's news worthy and even deserves a thread on the subject. Although two here another on breaking news and probably a few others on different forums is overkill. Wish people would read whats already started instead of junking up the board with multiple threads on the exact same topics

I really do not see it as newsworthy though I really see it about as lame talking bad about her portrait as it was lame talking about trump getting a second scoop of icecream, some people have nothing better to do with their lives than to find anything they can to try and justify their pre existing hate for someone.

This is low-class BS that shouldn't be happening. I didn't like the style of the paintings but I'm not going to take glee in crapping on an event that there is really no place for it. It's just mean-spirited and serves no point.

Unlike the ice cream this painting will he hanging long after all of us are gone. I do agree people use small things to justify their hate.

The unveiling is news worthy they reactions to the paintings not so much

The Obama's having no class...including the one and same Professor who endlessly howls at Trumps alleged lack of class, is something to take note of.

I don't care what the Obamas are or aren't. I'm not going to crap on an event like this, or how could I point out the hypocrisy of the left doing such things?

If the Obama's did not what lip then they should have done a better job.

They have on several occasions. Then again, if you tend to have your head shoved up Hannity's rectum all of the time, then you likely won't hear much in the way of actual news.

I am part of the MAJORITY that sees Trump for exactly who he is and not who others "wish" for him to be. More vocal than most, but able to see through the "con job" that you and others cannot. My views are also not clouded "pro Trump" simply because there previously was a black man in the White House. Trump would still be the same low class human if he was colored green. That said, do you have any REAL issues with Obama other than his skin color?

My problem with Obama is his laziness, his bad work and his bad attitude.

It figures that he would **** up even this.

I like Michelle's painting. I don't think the artist was going for realistic but rather trying to tell the story of Michelle, and I think it's spot-on.

I didn't care as much for Barack's painting -- that seemed to make him a bit too feminine, and I would have preferred if he were standing. But, it's still fine.

Michelle's however, is both soft and strong, both quiet and bold. And, it follows a trend in African-American portraiture that I think is important to our era. I quite like it!
