Don’t judge Frayser without asking a community how it feels to mourn their youth over and over again. What do people do with their pain and trauma when it gets to be too much, when a city has ignored them, when their loss is too great and they can no longer yell at the sky?

that tweet is from the councilwoman who represents the district in which Frayser is located (about five miles north of the Memphis Central Business District)

ms sawyer, what you and your constituents DON'T do is commence street violence and hurt 36 police officers trying to restrain such unwarranted street violence
what those you represent "do with their pain and trauma when it gets to be too much, when the city has ignored them" is not to do what they did; mob the streets and act violently against law enforcement officers who are trying to keep the peace

to the Memphis NAACP, which asserts it "want answers to questions surrounding Mr. Webber’s death"

read about it, and then share with those you represent that violence is NOT the answer to their problems

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations said authorities from the US Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force encountered a male [Brandon Webber] wanted on multiple warrants. While attempting to arrest him, he rammed his vehicle into the officer’s vehicles, then exited the vehicle with a weapon. He was shot and killed by officers. No officers were injured during that encounter.

The Marshals were attempting to serve a warrant on a 20-year-old man with multiple felony warrants. In response to a threat posed by the subject, members of the task force fired their weapons, striking and killing him

In 2018, Webber faced 11 charges in Shelby County, according to court documents. Here's what the documents say about Webber's previous interactions with police:

  • January 23, 2018: Webber was pulled over for not having his license plate illuminated. He was found to be driving on a suspended license and had no proof of insurance, according to the arrest report. He was cited for “driving while license was suspended, revoked or canceled” and “improper display of registration,” according to court documents. The case status is listed as “disposed."
  • April 15, 2018: Webber was a passenger in a car that was pulled over. A handgun was found in the passenger seat floorboard where Webber was sitting. He and the driver both denied ownership of the gun, the arrest affidavit said. Webber was charged with possession of a weapon. The case is listed as disposed.
  • April 17, 2018: Webber was pulled over after officers in a police car behind his vehicle could smell marijuana. He was found to be in possession of marijuana and two digital scales. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, two counts of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, driving with a suspended license and improper display of registration. The case is listed as disposed.
  • June 26, 2018: Webber was pulled over for not wearing a seat belt while driving, according to the police report. He was cited with a seat belt violation and driving with a suspended license, according to court documents. The case is listed as disposed.

  • Memphis NAACP, here is a video i recommend you share with those you represent so that they will not become the next target of police enforcing the laws:

Bull****.

That's what happens when you ram cop cars and then pop out with a weapon.

exactly!

so why the questions?

and especially why the violent mob behavior?

Because he was Black, which means some schmuck has to kick the hornet's nest.

that schmuck clearly did not watch Eddie Murphy's dated-but-still-valid video

exactly!

so why the questions?

and especially why the violent mob behavior?

It's the monster the SJW movement created. It's not that there are not injustices that need righting in this world, there are. But when the Mob tastes... power, it tends get out of control. It sounds like outrage before facts, and once the facts were in the fire of outrage was too hot to tame.

Can we tell it as it is?

These shootings of young gentlemen by the police are never going to stop.

The police will say that they acted in self-defense.

The community activists will say that the police are causing "pain and trauma."

The vast majority of Americans, I believe, realize that there is no practical solution to this problem.

Most Americans, I believe, no longer pay attention to this kind of event.

They just accept it as part of American society's "uniqueness."

exactly!

so why the questions?

and especially why the violent mob behavior?

because we can?
If I were mother to some of these protestors, I'd drag them home by their ears and put them in the corner for a prolonged time out.
Does anyone remember this

Memphis NAACP: We "want answers to questions surrounding Mr. Webber’s death"

I suppose the first question Ms Sawyer should ask is why he stole a car and shot the victim 5 times?

That will probably answer the question as to why he is deceased.

What are the questions they want answered?
