No major network needs to be taking any crap from unhappy or angry viewers. It's just like in politics, if voters turn on you, you're out. Advertisers feed NBC, they keep the wheels and cogs moving. Without them, stock tumbles, viewers go to another channel and everyone loses in the end. Whether they are in agreement with her or not, in the end their balance sheet means more to them than her. As with anything else, it's all about the money and individual's morals or rights don't matter one bit.

I can only tell you that black people are, in general offended by black face, regardless of intent. It's history is clear and can be no more separated from its deplorable past than the Confederate flag can. If you don't want to acknowledge the offense taken by blacks or you don't care that's really not my business. You're free to make whatever life choices you want but society pretty much finds such people to be deplorable as well. And while Megan Kelly got paid most likely they average joe the plumber is just getting mocked and ridiculed and possibly fired, much to my continued delight.
