McCain: No American has seen healthcare bill, but I'm sure Russia has

Do you have any proof that McCain is suffering memory issues? Have you ever met him? Have his medical records?

Frankly, to attack a public figure without proof is gossip. But it is the last resort of the incompetent to attack the individual and shows an inner fear that he may be right.

I marvel at how easily right wing Americans throw their war veterans under a bus when it suits them. The right starts the wars and then attacks the integrity of heroes after they've served.

He hurt Trump the Terrible's feelings and so his integrity and manhood MUST be attacked.

It's really sick politics

I wasn't seriously suggesting McCain is suffering memory issues because, like you said, I never met him and there is no proof ... but I did watch him questioning Comey soooooooo.
And he is inclined to take that whole maverick thing to unnecessary lengths just for the media attention he knows will be coming.

You mean like the "We need to pass it to see what's in it" jargon? What short memories.

The Dem bill was available for public consumption for months. People literally printed it out to bring to town halls and wave while they chanted "read the bill" (advice they themselves ironically never took). [This was back when presidents and members of Congress held town halls to discuss the contents of their health care legislation.]

The Senate GOP's bill meanwhile is nowhere to be found.

Don't you think we (the public) have a right to know what's in a bill that will affect about 1/6th of the economy? It's really not all about teams and winning some f'ing contest - the bill will affect the lives of 10s of millions in a huge way and these assholes are doing it all in complete SECRECY. The terms "back room dealing" and "behind closed doors" is literally how this bill is being negotiated.

Republicans spent years whining about the way the ACA was passed, but it had at least dozens of open hearings, weeks of debate, provided everyone in the Senate the opportunity to offer amendments, contribute to the process, invited the comments from hundreds of healthcare experts who testified in open session, etc. The McConnell Senate has none of that. If you're not on the committee, GOP or Dem, you can't know what the hell these guys are doing, and they're all relatively rich white guys (if that's important to anyone).

Last I heard, this change to 1/6th of the economy will get a whopping 10 hours of public debate - 6 minutes per Senator! It's really quite amazing.

Relax ... you'll know. But I would hope you intend to look for yourself rather than take notes from Chuck Schumer's press gaggles. Will you?

You pick up Democrat Party political strategy too easily.
Tell me, before the Democrat Party passed Obamacare, when they were speaking publicly about it, were they telling the truth?

"All rich white guys" ... somebodddddyy's been listening to Al Fraaaannken.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said he hasn't met an American who has seen the Senate Republicans' healthcare bill yet, though he's "sure the Russians have" gotten their hands on it, Bloomberg reported.

Asked Tuesday whether he has seen a copy of the legislation, McCain said he has not.

"Nor have I met any American that has," he added, according to Bloomberg. "I’m sure the Russians have been able to hack in and gotten most of it."

McCain is one of a number of senators growing frustrated with Senate Republican leaders' efforts to draft the healthcare overhaul measure.

dont they have to pass it too see whats in it?

I know this is really cynical and mean, but I really do hope The Republicans Repeal Obamacare and take this country back to the Healthcare it had 2008. Only then, will people realize what they had and then gave away. Unfortunately, this is how low informed people learn, and how the poor and elderly are impacted first and most.

Hopefully they will realize, the people who are looking to take away their Government backed Healthcare, would never give up their own Government backed Healthcare. Because it's a great deal for them.

I suspect they'll make sure it doesn't go into effect until after 2020.

There is no comparison between the relatively open process of the ACA and the complete secrecy around the GOP efforts. They have been ZERO open hearings on the GOP bill. Care to guess how many there were for the ACA debate? Five different committees in the House and Senate, about 100 public hearings, hundreds of experts, many hours of Congressional debate and discussion, hundreds of amendments offered by both parties.

So your response is lame, and ignores (or is ignorant of) what actually happened then and is happening now. We've basically never seen anything like this before on such a major piece of legislation. The Senate approach just shatters every historical norm.

They're not very good at revisionist history. GOP lawmakers should have a wonderful July 4th vacation after the CBO score comes out next week.

DEMs need to put McConnell in every GOP lawmaker's ad, just as GOPs did to Ossoff with Pelosi .

Relax ... you'll know. But I would hope you intend to look for yourself rather than take notes from Chuck Schumer's press gaggles. Will you?

I don't pay much attention to Chuck Schumer. Will you agree to look for yourself rather than take notes from Ted Cruz or Rush Limbaugh?

You pick up Democrat [sic] Party political strategy too easily.

Example? It doesn't take reading press releases to recognize that 13 Republicans meeting in secret to reshape 1/6th of the economy is a bad thing. What do they have to hide? Why the rush? Do they not need to talk with experts? Why can't we see those discussions? Maybe they're just listening to lobbyists? We don't know because it's all secret.

Tell me, before the Democrat [sic] Party passed Obamacare, when they were speaking publicly about it, were they telling the truth?

I have no idea what your point is. Who is "they?" What did "they" say? When?

"All rich white guys" ... somebodddddyy's been listening to Al Fraaaannken.

No, haven't heard his voice for weeks. Read it somewhere. Just think it's curious. Normally if you're reworking the entire healthcare system, it MIGHT be good to get a few different perspectives. Tough to understand what it's like out there in the boonies, working a couple of low wage jobs, but no insurance, so depending on free clinics and the ER, etc. And women are different in one really BIG way than men - they get pregnant and have children. Etc....

It's about Obama, not care. It's wealthcare. They need to take away a trillion in Medicaid to pass the bill by reconciliation. The GOP will backload Medicaid cuts as they've been doing since 2011. The GOP will frontload tax cuts for the rich. trump will have record deficits .

It's probably a cluster ****. Not much need to see it.

Too bad your Sen. Cassidy's approach isn't being used. Though all but two GOP chameleon senators will vote yes on 6/29 .

Before the Democrat Party passed Obamacare, when the Democratics were speaking publicly about Obamacare, was the Democrat Party telling the truth about Obamacare?

HA! You don't even get your talking points from the donkey's mouth ... you get it from someone who got it from the donkey himself.
On the matter of the healthcare bill, you don't know what you're talking about. You're just repeating what you heard. Break out of the bubble.

You'll have to be more specific. Which Democrat? There are millions of them, probably thousands spoke at some point about various parts of proposed features, amendments, final provisions, etc. for a period of over a year, so we're talking easily 100s of thousands of statements during that period.

I agree I don't know much about "the healthcare bill" - nothing in fact because republicans are keeping all of it entirely secret.

Senile Republican is senile. Now he's trying to insinuate Russia hacked the ****ing healthcare bill? L...M...AO!!!!!!!!!!

9 years ago he was good enough to be President, now he's just a senile old fart. Good thing Obama won, no?

Typical hypocritical comment from a "Trumpster". They likely do the best that they can with what limited intellectual abilities that they possess.

It's being blocked from OTHER Republicans from seeing it as well as the American people. Again, if it's so great, why the secrecy? You guys whined till all end about the ACA and now you guys are supporting a process that's even WORSE than the ACA to get your piece of **** bill to pass.

Folks that support such Republican tactics are the same caliber of folks that screw over their family members, friends and co-workers. Simple as that that. Their definition of "right and wrong" is simply "subjective" based on their own selfish and self-centered needs. They have no problems allowing children to starve if it gets them a tax break. This is exactly why they were labeled as "deplorable". Because they in fact are.

Lame.

If all you can do is attack the messenger then you have nothing. McCain might well be a murderer but that does NOT deny the fact he's a long time pro and has extensive experience in national politics. Which makes his case a lot more authentic than you suggesting he's senile, when you've never met him, never spoken to him and have not one clue with the issues he's dealing with.

You post reeks of fear, attacking the messenger is always the last resort of the incompetent; the fact that it is the first reply and only nine minutes after the PO was posted is testimony of an inner fear that Trump's little empire of cards is slowly coming apart because he's too incompetent to be president.

How do you know anything about McQueeg? You don't.

Screw him. He's a politician...completely open to criticism and vitriol.

Again, show me where the ACA process was so open and transparent? Then explain Pelosi's comment.

WCH, you are simply clinging to a false conservative narrative based on a sentence fragment that you have to take out of context. Obamacare was available for all to see and read and it was debated on the senate floor for 25 days. There was no "hide it until the last minute and try to pass before anybody reads it" BS the republicans are trying to pull. There are simply no words you can post to justify their actions. Your conservative masters appreciate your obedience but you do yourself and America a disservice when you try.

Instead of looking for any excuse to not hold them accountable for their actions, you should demand republicans stop lying about Obamacare and address healthcare in an honest and intelligent manner.

You all seem to believe that but, I see no evidence.
Funny how, as with many Leftist criticisms, it wasn't an issue until now.

Well, the healthcare bill is out there now.

And as Conservatives such as yourself have told me, the most important thing to do is assess he number of pages. If it's a lot, it must be a bad bill.

Did you check the page count?

Or are you going to punt that one like you did the secrecy issue?

Fact is, this is another part of the Obama [lying] 'legacy' that's fixing to bite the dust and the Left is beside themselves.

Reckon it's all lies like the ACA?

heh heh ... okay ... I won't pursue it ... you're in strict avoidance mode on this angle because you know Obamacare was passed amidst a sh*tload of lies from top to bottom with surrogates even admitting it.
You can thank me in a private message or a public reply for not pushing you .
You ... are ... a ... pisser.
