Mayweather’s homophobic slur was the first time either fighter clearly went too far, although McGregor has used terms like “boy” and “monkey” — both of which can be taken as racist — to get under the 40-year-old boxer’s skin during their four-city tour, which stopped in Toronto on Wednesday.

“He called black people monkeys,” Mayweather said during a news conference Friday, according to the BBC.

In New York on Thursday, McGregor said he was “half black, from the belly button down.”

What a joke this world tour is. In, the reality this fight will be a very disappointing. You have a professional boxer that has never lost to another, that will be fighting in his first career boxing match.

Well, this is all basically kayfabe. That's what he's pretty much supposed to do. If I'm to be completely honest here, McGregor will probably lose (as much as I don't want him to). I want him to win, as that would create a huge upset, but I just don't think he will.

Boxing, and more recently MMA were respected sports. Boxing started going downhill when Don King rose to prominence as a promoter, and now MMA is much akin to WWE wrestling. I'm not even sure the outcomes aren't pre-determined just like in professional wrestling.

it's similar to when in 1976 when Muhammed Ali fought some kind of Japanese wrestler. I promised my
little brother I'd take him to Shea Stadium to watch it. To get out of the promise I payed an employee
$50 to take him. I think it was a draw, fans describe it as one of the most embarrassing moments in Ali's career.
Ali got 5 or 6 million for the fight so I guess it was a success for him. Why the public goes for this kind
