If wasted effort at procreation is wrong, then having sex when procreation is not possible is wrong. If having sex when procreation is not possible is not wrong then there is nothing wrong with sex between two people of the same sex/gender. What can you possibly provide as evidence that your two statements do not contradicted each other?

And you should know that I was not talking specifically about women.
