"March Madness" -- 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

Bilas: Miller revelation is 'career-ending.'

Jay Bilas can't imagine Sean Miller coaching in college basketball again once the FBI's investigations are complete.

Baseball is my favorite sport, but the NCAA men's basketball tournament is my favorite event on the sports calendar. This may be because its win-or-go-home single elimination format reminds me of the old one-class Indiana high school tournament I grew up with. (Indiana's move to a multi-class tournament was, IMHO, a terrible thing, but that's a topic for another day.)

So now, with the Super Bowl in the rear view mirror and spring training still ahead of us, let's indulge in some bracketology and start getting ready for the tournament. Right now I think Villanova, Virginia and Purdue look like firm #1 seeds, but I have no idea who should be the fourth #1.

I might sound cynical, but of the past 5 NCAA champs, how many will retain their title after the FBI investigation is completed?

Louisville already lost theirs. I think Connecticut, Duke and Villanova are safe. North Carolina is at risk.

I was thinking Kansas and KY. But, maybe they didn't win one in the time period I mentioned. Probably a good thing.

UConn and Duke are pretty clean, from what I can tell. Nova too, probably.

The FBI has identified 20 blueblood college basketball programs as cheat factories. They have Arizona coach Sean Miller on tape offering $100,000 for a certain recruit.

The NCAA is as dirty as the International Olympic Committee and FIFA.

Most of the 20 are in no sense "blue blood." Obviously there has been wrongdoing, but let's wait to see who is really vulnerable and who has just been mentioned.

Does Miller survive?

My gut feeling is he'll be gone after the tourney, but I really don't know. The ESPN piece was horse**** and full of holes.

[h=1]Bracketology: Before conference tourneys, bubble battles await[/h]With conference tournaments around the corner, teams like Texas, Virginia Tech and UCLA are fighting to stay in the bracket.
