Live Thread for the SC Democratic Presidential Debate

Buttigieg is the halfway reasonable one within the context of this brawl but he comes off like a 17 year old college student running for class president.

Bloomberg ain't doing too bad this time.

I have no idea what the joke about him beating them last week was, tho. But yes, he's telling Democrats things they don't want to hear about affordability.

Just started watching. Warren is completely ignoring the rules, and the moderators are letting her get away with it.

OK, so: Buttigieg doing well. Bloomberg doing much better than last week. Biden kind of fading, he needs to win SC and this is not very hopeful. But not horrible either, with some good moments, likely too little to fully recover. Bernie again surviving fine, as the front runner he just needs to avoid blunders and he is doing that. Klobuchar and Steyer irrelevant. Warren doing very poorly, appearing again like the unlikable annoying electric chipmunk.

Biden: "I've been involved in the black community for decades. After all, I started off defending criminals."

He spent the whole time since the last debate getting coaching and practicing, not doing any campaign events.

I have no idea why the moderators don't get to turn their microphones on and off at will.

Steyer is the billionaire destroying himself tonight. You are running for President Tom. If you want to yammer about term limits for the Hill, get off the stage and start a grassroots effort for congressional term limits. There is nothing you can do about congressional term limits from the Oval office IDIOT! Get off the stage Tom.

Well that was until that last remark from Bloomy. Now he is stepping in it. You won what last week Bloomy?

Hey look! Steyer is still here.

Lol Biden, at this point you should be relieved he's cutting you off.

Warren is running for Bernie VP at this point, I think.

Affirmative action is reparations for slavery.

Thats pretty good. I might have to use that in the future.

I couldn't believe he said that; but the CC proved me wrong.

Kloubachar with an excellent point about why we shouldn't tax the poor to give free education to the wealthy.

I don't like how Amy always answers saying "I'm good, I did this and that, I know better, elect me" while not giving a lot of details on what her projects and plans actually are. She did answer better the question about health care for rural areas.
