Lev Parnas is now Trump's worst nightmare

Not exactly. The Senate can over-rule him at any turn with a simple majority.

Though that would make Senate Republicans look [even more] terrible [than usual].

As my brackets suggest, I'm not sure how much perception counts for anymore.

I'm aware.

Let the vulnerable Republicans overrule a conservative Chief Justice on his decisions.

It's a living Democratic commercial.

Nice rant but you didnt answer the question. Why isnt Parnas sitting right now before Nadlers committee? You have to understand that there is no way he will be called before the senate. You might get witnesses but you will never get this undeposed wild card. This is the responsibility of the House. Why can none of you guys admit this?

Because you have no facts behind this baseless assertion. They weren't deposed because the president wouldn't let them be. If that then changes there is no good reason to not bring them in and depose them and let them testify in the senate except for that you are scared of the truth.

It all comes back to that. One side wants the truth, the other side wants the truth buried in the back yard. You haven't chosen wisely.

So did Schiff and company yet they never called him to testify. How come?

I believe they had to wait on a judge's ruling allowing it.

In Clinton's impeachment none of the witnesses testified before the House. It was only when they got to the Senate that Lewinsky and Jordan gave depositions.

The House's responsibility is to determine if at a certain point there is enough evidence to put the President on trial, not to exhaust all possible leads. That is actually the responsibility of the Senate, because they ones that actually decide whether the President is removed.

I dont think he can rule on that. That had to go through the court system. There is no way he will be able to make that sort of judgement on his own.
Judges rule on matters of attorney client privilege in trials all the time when lawyers are involved in schemes.

Do you think judges are just present in trials to be like movie extras?

Trump and company know all about Lev Parnas.

Trump the natural born citizen took the oath of office three years ago then he wiped his ass with it.

Parnas history is different in that he is a naturalized citizen which he's apparently begun to take seriously.

Parnas is indicted which seems to have set him off against Buffalo Bob Barr and Trump for not quashing the SDNY on it. Trump himself is impeached and on trial in the Senate which makes him uniquely vulnerable to Parnas. So it could appear justice has eyessight again and it's on Trump and the Republican Conservatives like lasers.

Even if Trump comes out of this he's going to be very beat up. He's already frantic.

Trump did not stop Parnas from testifying and there i no way Parnas will appear before the senate without being deposed. I think you watch too much tv. This isnt Perry Mason. They arent going to call Professor Plum to the stand

I dont think there is any chance that Roberts will rule on an issue of this Constitutional magnitude by himself with 30 seconds of thought. Not going to happen.

Parnas admits that as to Ukraine, his access to Trump was through Rudy. But its obvious to anybody with eyes that Trump made Rudy his ramrod regarding everything Ukraine. There is no way around that and there is now no way for Rudy to claim he was some special State Dept envoy.

They were in jail ...

When did Parnas get out? Maddow had time to lock him in for an interview, how come the House didnt? And if his testimony is pivotal, why didnt the House wait until he was released to depose him BEFORE voting on impeachment?

So Parnas really adds nothing but second hand info in this impeachment. As I said earlier, the key witness is Rudy. Without his testimony and without him fingering Trump, you will never get a vote to remove.

Well, no one accused them of exhausting all leads. They rushed it through and are now demanding that the senate do all their work. Thats not going to happen. They could have waited for Parnas, they could have waited for Bolton. They chose not to. Big mistake. i know you will never blame your tribe for ****ing up, but you should in this instance.

There were witnesses that were deposed in the senate trial during the clinton impeachment. This is not some new thing. You are only acting as though this is some crazy ask because you fear the truth. As you should. We are talking about whether the president of the united states used his office to force another country to interfere in our elections and whether he is using his office to block investigations and the one thing you are actually concerned about is making sure that absolutely no information gets out. If you actually thought that the witnesses and documents would show no wrong doing you'd be screaming to include them. You are as transparent as glass.

They've waited on McGahn since July and it's still on appeal. Had they taken Bolton to court in November we'd still be waiting for a circuit court ruling, and then once the House won, the WH have simply appealed all over again to keep running the clock out.

Democrats didn't claim to need Bolton, Republicans did. The Democrats felt the testimony of Taylor, Sondland, Volker, Hill, and the rest of the public record was enough. If Bolton and Mulvaney had evidence dispute any of the facts they would have gone and testified, but the WH compelled them not to, and so it was Trump's choice to leave the record at a stage where the best explanation for all of the facts and testimony was guilt of the charges.

Do you understand anything?

The government seized his phones and needed a court order to release them to the House. It was only a week ago that a judge finally ruled that his documents could be handed over.

Rudy has offered to testify to the Senate, so put or shut up.

WTF are you talking about? He can deliberate privately in the Senate on a ruling, IF the Republicans let him.

Aweek. So why hasnt he been in front of a House committee yet?

Parnas is the Democrat's new Avenatti. Very likely he will end up in the same place Avenatti is headed. I wonder if CNN will hire Parnas?

WTF are you talking about? He can deliberate privately in the Senate on a ruling, IF the Republicans let him.

There is no way he will rule on that. He will say that has to be sent through the courts. He will not make a determination on executive privilege or lawyer client privilege on his own. Thats not why he is there.

Thats false. And stupid. I dont fear the truth. If you actually read what I write you would see that I am saying that this is the job of the House. Parnas should be in the SKIF right now being deposed, not showing up on MSNBC and CNN. The guy obviously has time to be interviewed, why are House dems doing that? They dont need to beg the senate to do it, they can do it themselves.

See above

I am 'screaming' that the House should be interrogating this guy right now. Ive said this a dozen times. Clearly you only hear what you want to hear.

Thats silly. If the dems were so certain their case was air tight, they wouldnt be demanding more witnesses.

I myself was impressed by the complete co-ordination between the DNC and their media propaganda arm, the mainstream media. These two "Orange Man Bad" news stories were timed perfectly to play down the trade deals, a YUUUuuuge Trump win, and make Orange man bad....nice work guys!
That most of the American public can see through it by now doesn't matter!
The lies will make us free!
