Lev Parnas on Maddow show has the White House out there saying it ain't so, but if Bolton testifies it might be hard for the Trump and the GOP to say it wasn't bribery on top of the fact that the government is now saying that by withholdng the money that the White House violated the law. I guess my real question is would even this make a difference to GOP Senators or the Trump faithful?

Maybe, but one thing it will do, it will reveal to the electorate that anyone who ignores compelling evidence will go down on the wrong side of history.

The pursuit of justice is what America should be about. We shall see who is on the side of justice, and who is not.

Justice demands that Lev, Bolton, and Guliani, and Trump, to name a few, all testify.

No difference, it has already been determined that it's a cover up.
The House fails to investigate and because the Senate will not complete the work of the House, it's a cover up.

The majority of the country realizes what took place and want Trump gone. The corruption was blatant and the cover up even moreso.

The issue is that the majority of the country is not currently represented in the United States Senate where Republicans hold power. And as long as those Republicans are more terrified of Trump calling them out in a rally or on his Twitter feed than they are the wrath of voters, nothing is going to come of this. The Republican Party IS Donald Trump now. These men and women have sold their souls to latch on to him.

Then the House should have called them.

This "cover-up" label seems to be growing in public perception.

Pelosi may not win-over the GOP Senators protecting Trump, but she may indeed be successful in winning-over the Indie voters that will remove Trump in lieu of the Senate.

The Parnas stuff was really explosive and absolutely has to be investigated. If it doesn't sway anyone Trump was right about shooting someone and getting away with it.

Total rubbish. Your side didnt do its job. Heres what should happen: the Senate should listen to the House make its case. Stamp a big "I" for incomplete on the articles and send them back to the House to conduct a proper investigation. You want Bolton? Subpoena him. You want Rudy? Subpoena him. Why is Parnas on Maddow when he should be in front of the House Judiciary committee? What the House did was a farce and you blame the right for not taking their joke of an impeachment seriously. You cant pretend partisan garbage is fact and then expect the other side to take you seriously.

Of course it is. Every liberal repeats it and the compliant media spreads it around. There is zero evidence that the Senate is engaged in a cover-up. Zero. That is just another liberal lie being injected into the political bloodstream

Why is he on Maddow and not under oath before Nadler or Schiffs committee?

The Democrats did their job. Donald Trump refused to supply any documents and the entire administration was told not to cooperate with a lawful inquiry, all while the conservative clowns, and some Trumpists pretending to be libertarians, cheered and laughed. It's been made repeatedly clear that pretty much every senior official involved in this on the Republican side has lied to the public about their involvement.

But sure, blame the Democrats for all of this. We're already sitting around 50% of the country who wants Trump gone and we haven't even started the trial yet.

Zero other than the fact McConnell himself has stated he would be coordinating with the White House in blatant violation of the oath he is going to be taking this afternoon and that the majority of Republicans are desperate not to even consider the overwhelming evidence of wrongdoing or the testimony of witnesses at the heart of this matter.

Troll harder.

Then the House should have called them.

They tried to call Bolton who has refused up to now and we just got the info from Parnas yesterday. this is similar to what happened with Nixon as the infomation about the tapes wasn't know at the beginning.

If the Republicans obstruct relevant witnesses coming forward for a fair trial, I assure you many Americans - particularly Independents - are going to see it this that way (cover-up).

Here's the mechanics of it:

1] During the trial the House Managers will submit motions to the presiding Judge (Roberts).

2] Robert's will (hopefully impartially) rule on those motions.

3] If Roberts rules in a positive manner on those motions, the Republican Senators will only be able to stop them by over-ruling Roberts.

It's these last acts (over-ruling the Judge) that will have the most political consequence. They will have to explain to the American People why they are over-ruling the trial Judge. Good luck with that. They will have to prove the Judge is corrupt, partisan, or in error. The Dems will merely have to claim the Republican Senators are covering-up for Trump's crimes. I believe the Dems will have the simpler & easier argument. Especially if public opinion continues to move, as it has since Ukraine first broke and now with additional revelations like the GOA & Parnas revelations.

Put Tweety under oath and ask him all about it.

Why issue more subpoenas for the president to ignore? He's already impeached on that count.

That would be too much like the Clinton impeachment. McConnel doesn't want to go that far with his "fair and impartial" search for the facts.

Stop repeating everything you hear on CNN. Plenty of people from the executive branch testified, in fact, there was enough testimony for the House to impeach. To get Trumps inner circle required subpoenas and waiting for the courts to decide. They chose not to do things the right way so you cant turn around now and whine about it.

??? It is the democrats fault. They voted to impeach its up to them to make the case.

No, the Bolton subpoena is working its way through the courts. The dems didnt want to wait and do this properly and now your whining

Roberts doesnt set the rules, a majority vote does. It is not up to him whether or not witnesses are called. And why isnt Parnas testifying before a House committee right now? What he says to Maddow is irrelevant. Put him under oath.

Total bull****

The you wait for the courts. Thats how it works.

DO you really think that Trump would obey the courts, really? He thinks of himself as being beyond and above the law and that includes the courts.
