Is it really any different than using "alt-right" to describe conservatives?

We're living in a world where media and politics seem to have fused together to form two competing conglomerates which have gone to war using narratives like this as their weapon of choice.

I try to avoid using the term "Liberal" to describe Leftists because up until the time of FDR it meant the opposite of what it means today. "Liberal" used to describe a Freedom loving, Limited Govt desiring, Individualist. Today it describes a Big Govt desiring Collectivists.

A favorite propaganda tactic of the Left is to redefine definitions and terms. With them controlling most of the media and academia it has been easy to do.

"Liberal" was a cool positive sounding term so the Left hijacked it for themselves and slowly made it an un-cool title.

Over the last few decades Right leaning Individualist replaced "Liberal" with "Libertarian," and it looks like the Left is starting to attempt the same with that term.

A few years ago the term Alt-Right was used by Right leaning Individualists Libertarians to separate themselves from the Bush/McCain GOP aristocracy.

Two things happened that ruined the term.

1. White Nationalists saw how positive and cool the movement was and started clinging to it.

2. Seeing how popular the then Alt Right were becoming, Leftists and their MSM did everything they could redefine "Alt-Right" as racist to discredit it.

Now Real Libertarians no longer call themselves "Alt-Right."

How else CAN you define Breitbart as anything but alt-Right, and Breitbart enjoys almost exclusive favor from Donald Trump along with Fox News, as the only legitimate sources of REAL NEWS, according to HIM, and according to the overwhelming majority of Trump supporters.

The alt-Right controls today's Republican Party.
That's just a FACT.

Personally, I disagree with traditional conservatives on a lot of issues, maybe even most of them, but I can at least try to respect them, and I can try to carry on a rational debate with them, and occasionally we get lucky and we can even arrive at some common ground.

Unfortunately you guys don't have squat for representation in Congress anymore, so it doesn't really matter much.
And it is IMPOSSIBLE to carry on a conversation with anyone in the alt-Right.
It's like talking to fanatical islamists like Abu bakr al-Baghdadi if you're a Christian, or even a Westerner.

Every single website I've checked say antifa is, statistically, less violent than right leaning terrorist groups.
Of course, both are reprehensible and disgusting groups. But if you think antifa is more violent than right leaning groups, like neonazis, you must back that claim up with information.

1) The Jim Crow laws were finally abolished on 2 July 1964 when President Lyndon Johnson historically signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Lyndon Johnson was a democrat.
2) Democrat and Left are not synonyms.
3) The Democrat party used to be the "traditional" and "conservative" party.
