That's not true, 'lefties' never defended O.J. Simpson, I was in L.A. the day of the acquittal and trust me, there were no 'lefties' celebrating O.J. Simpson getting off scot-free. And thanks to the fame and money whore, Alan Dershowitz, he walked.

Actually, lefties were happy to point out liberal hypocrisy and racism as Democrats & their ilk freaked out by the millions about O.J. walking.

And I haven't seen many folks defend him - some just like to point out that the case exposed how deeply racist many factions, including liberal, are in this country.

If that is what you took away from my post you either need glasses or to take a course on reading comprehension. I specifically said that his alleged sexual assault should be part of the conversation about his legacy.

Bryant, 24 at the time, was charged with one count of felony assault. It took 14 months for the criminal case to be resolved. The accuser decided she would not testify, and prosecutors dropped the case Sept. 1, 2004.

So the rape case against him was dropped but she filed a civil suit instead (lower burden of proof) and he probably paid her to go away
while claiming no wrongdoing which is what this amounted to.

Did he cheat on his wife yep. did he rape the women? doubt it.

I would not want to be a celebrity or famous person. you just have everything to lose.
all these women just throwing themselves at you regardless if you are married or not.

they don't care. they just want 1 excuse to file a lawsuit.

I feel bad for him he was a great ball player and by the sounds of it a good husband and father to his kids.
when he got out of basketball he started his own company and was doing ok with it i do believe.

I feel for the other kids and parents that were on there.
by the reports now it looks like it was weather that took the copter down.

First off you are wrong on a great many details.

1. She was not 19 she was 24.
2. She refused to testify and the rape case was dropped. She later filed a civil suit which was settled.

So he was never convicted of rape. by all accounts it was consensual and she was trying to earn a buck.
she got her settlement and for some reason she just disappeared into the air.

funny how that worked.

I had to be at that courthouse for another case and I saw a lot of people there that were supporting O.J.

They cheered when he was acquitted and judging by the color of their skin, I doubt many were republicans.
