This halibut is good enough for Jehovah!
boy, that sure sounds like a God of love & forgiveness
They make up the rules as they go along depending on the narrative and the point they're trying to make.
OT God was a forced to be a bit more "Get your attention".
He is about love and forgiveness, it's just like with your kids, sometimes you gotta lay the smack down.
Kirk Cameron: God sent Hurricanes Harvey, Irma for 'humility, awe and repentance' | Fox News What a wackjob, this coming from the guy that thinks a banana is the "Atheists nightmare"
I remember from Sunday School that God promised not to use a flood to punish those that didn't please Her and the rainbow was Her promise. So those who use hurricanes and extreme weather to condemn any group are, imo, just plain ignorant, not true Christians and full of hate for other children of God. So-called Christians who spew hate aren't true or God's chosen.

So how much evil would you tolerate before you would act? God has more patience than any human ever thought about having...
Someone needs to ask these fundamentalists to explain the physics behind God creating a hurricane, sustaining it, and then directing it where he thinks needs to be punished or needs to be taught humility.
Not much, apparently, if the first two people in the world, your own creations, get cast out for one mistake. That's not much evil to tolerate. In fact, it's the first sin and everyone ever since is guilty of it.
No, not very tolerant.
No Christian is God's chosen.
Jewish people are, supposedly.
According to the NT those who follow Christ are Her/His chosen people.
