Kelly overtaking McSally

Kelly has spent a great deal of time, trying to pretend he is not anti gun. He is. He's a fraud. He reminds me of John Glenn who played up on his military record while voting for gun bans. Lots of people in Eastern Ohio (mining, agriculture, Appalachia)who are very pro gun rights, voted for Glenn because they couldn't believe a decorated pilot/Astronaut would be a big gun banner. Kelly is trying to do the same thing.

Brady used to lie that her Brady Bill would have stopped Hinkley. It would not have because he didn't have a disqualifying feature on his searchable record. The same is true with the asshole who killed Judge John Roll, several others and permanently crippled Gabby Giffords. And nothing Kelly pushes for, would have stopped his wife's maiming if those laws had been in place at the time she was shot. (Loughner was a drug abuser but didn't have any convictions that would have disqualified him from owning a gun-he bought the gun at a licensed dealer and went through the background check. Shortly before the shooting, he was pulled over for a traffic violation, and the officer again ran his record-which was clean)

So when people push for laws that would not even have stopped the tragedy they campaign on, you wonder what their real motivations are.

It's not only jam. He can't raise the weapon and hold a sight picture. He must fire from the hip.
Just stop. We aren’t talking about using a machine gun to hit a bullseye at 100 yards. We’re talking about someone firing a semi auto rifle at people 10, 20, or 30 feet away, pulling the trigger as quickly as possible. A 100 round drum magazine can be and was devastating to many lives.

All you know about firearms is from the news? I don't believe you considered the difference between a sight picture and hip fire. I don't believe you know the difference.

I'm saying Trump should not base foreign policy on unproven rumors started by democrats and Trump-hating partisans who have clearly been proven to have created the false Russian dossier with the help of corrupt Justice Department officials out to illegally remove Trump from office.

He is basing "foreign policy" on unproven rumors. Russian rumors about Ukraine's part in 2016 election interference.

Democrats claim evidence which suggests Americans were involved in illegal activities with Ukrainians was invented by the Russians. The democrats lie.

It's a finding of the intelligence community.

When you say "intelligence community" are you including biased reports from Trump-hating officials who have been proven wrong and corrupt, or the voice of truth as it finally was rescued from the lies?

Like most everything you’ve posted in this thread, you are wrong.

While I don’t claim to be as knowledgeable and experienced as some, I do know a fair amount about firearms, and how to shoot. I earned expert marksmanship medals for both pistol and rifle during my career in the military, own firearms and practice at the local range regularly.

Maybe you do know a whole lot more about firearms than me. Maybe you’re a competitive/professional shooter. I don’t know and it doesn’t matter because anyone with simple common sense can comprehend the utter ridiculousness of what you’re asserting.

Facing a nut job with a semi auto rifle equipped with large capacity magazine does not make for better odds of survival.

A drum is too heavy to look down the sights. This is simple. A wall of text can't change that. You're just focused on bs legislation being somehow meaningful. You don't care about stats or anything else. You're convinced it will make a difference and you're on a crusade.

You don’t care about facts.

An inexperienced 24 year old guy murdered 9 people and wounded 17 others in 32 seconds because he had a 100 round mag drum.

That simple, stark fact completely destroys your ridiculous assertions.

That could be done with a pistol. You're using sensational events to dismiss statistics and reason.

**** your statistics. I’m stating facts. Stop lying.

Your fact is a spectacular event. We could produce one for anything. Legislation must be based on statistics and realistic impacts, not spectacular events.

More BS from you. Please produce the proven conclusions. Show your work.

It was a spectacularly deadly event aided, in no small part, by the use of a 100 round mag drum. And it isn’t the only time.

Some history and stats for you:
“ Over the past decade, the five deadliest mass shooting incidents in America all involved the use of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines (Las Vegas, NV; Orlando, FL; Newtown, CT; Sutherland Springs, TX; Parkland, FL). The 2009 Fort Hood, TX, shooter – who shot and killed 13 people and injured 32 more – specifically sought out high-capacity magazines in preparation for his attack. A witness to the shooter’s purchase at a Killeen, TX, gun dealer reported, “He gave me two specifications. He said he wanted the most technologically advanced weapon on the market and the one with the highest magazine capacity.”

A study of mass shooting incidents between 1981 and 2017 found that assault rifles accounted for 86 percent of the 501 fatalities reported in 44 mass shooting incidents. An Everytown original analysis of mass shootings from 2009 to 2017 revealed that, of the incidents with known magazine capacity data, 58 percent involved firearms with high-capacity magazines. These shootings resulted in twice as many fatalities and 14 times as many injuries per incident on average compared to those that did not include the use of high-capacity magazines.”

A standard magazine is "high capacity". I wonder how any were not. Circumstance, not magazine capacity, determines casualties.

A standard magazine is "high capacity"
More nonsense. State laws determine what are considered high/large capacity magazines.

Circumstance, not magazine capacity, determines casualties.
Even more nonsense. Asserting that mag capacity has no bearing on the lethality of an event is idiotic.

I’m seriously beginning to think you don’t much at all about firearms, mass shooting events, or the law.

Name the Trump-hating officials who have been proven wrong about Russian interference.

Brennan. Clapper. McCabe. Comey. Clinton. Strzok. Page. Mueller. Weissman. Rhee. Orr. Rosenstein. Wray. And more.

Mag capacity has no bearing on the lethality of an event. That is determined by circumstance and shooter.

Au contraire I know it was an excellent comeback. How do I know? Cause I'm watching you wipe the pie cream off your smiling face. ;)

And hey, I myself am not a Trump defender yet you're the guy wiping off the pie cream. So you might consider rethinking your whole rightwing scam you're confident you got going. :duel

Here, have another napkin btw.

So you have nothing?

So you have nothing?

Au contraire I've identified your faux rightwing scam by which you post your Trump rightwing stuff while failing in your tactic to disassociate yourself from Trump the moron.

We know your mantra: you don't support Trump, didn't vote for Trump, Trump's not your guy etc while you post positively about Trump's issues, post against Trump's critics, and give Trump's open defenders a free ride and a free meal along your way.

You're certain you're being agile, nimble, quick. :lamo

Hence your face of pie cream in scrolling. Indeed, I reject Trump directly to include the exact issues you share completely with Trump in your happy entrails of rightwing posts against Trump's critics. Which leaves you unwrapped and spread out on the floor for all to walk through and over.
