1) I don't give a damn where it comes from. It does not belong in a block quotation as that format is for quotes from a fellow forum participant in the thread. There were no other forum participants in the thread at the point when you posted the OP.

2) There are no quotation marks around that sentence in the piece you linked from NBC. Zippo, Zero, NADA.

So where did that actually come from? There was not even a snippet of that sentence with quotation marks around it in the piece. Does NBC even know where it came from? I don't know. Do they know? Just because NBC is posting it does not mean it has been thoroughly researched, has been corroborated or anything. Its just hanging there in space in the piece.

Frankly, even a Barr DOJ would not likely imply or worse state that "critics should be careful". Maybe in some other country critics should be careful. Not in this country.

I think it's perfectly reasonable for Congress to keep their investigation secret if and when it deals with classified information and/or Grand Jury testimony. Wouldn't you agree?

That being said, I do agree that it's necessary for DOJ investigations to be conducted in secrecy. But it's also necessary that not only they be conducted in a fair and unbiased manner... but also that they be perceived as fair and unbiased as well. And for that reason, I am wary of the Attorney General's active participation. If Durham has the Attorney General's full support and confidence, then he should just let him do his job with a bare minimum of supervision.

I'll be perfectly straight with you... If I were in Durham's shoes, I wouldn't have taken the job unless it came with a Special Counsel appointment. It seems to me that if there was adequate cause to initiate an investigation in the first place, then there ought to be adequate cause to appoint a Special Counsel.

Now that it has been revealed that Barr and Durham are not only crisscrossing the globe looking at 2016 but crisscrossing the globe looking at the Bidens, the corruption of US government is complete. We have the DOJ in the names of Barr and Durham and likely others as well being used to investigate an actual candidate for the 2020 Presidential nomination and they are probably hard at that even more than they are after the 2016 Election.

This is exactly what does not happen in this country, using the power of the DOJ to investigate and pressure political opponents of the party in power or the man in the WH. So, now it does not matter what Barr and Durham come up with regarding 2016 or 2020. They have been exposed. As I said earlier in this thread, Durham has already been crapping all over his own investigation likely under instructions from Barr. They are no defunct before releasing a damned thing.
