Taking the salary would be some rounding error to his wealth. Him not taking it is a stunt. But a President cannot use his power to better his wealth or personal standing at the expense of the People. If that's something you can't understand, then you've really have become something that is entirely not admirable.

That's a lot of dancing to get around the fact that you somehow don't see that it's morally repulsive for the President to use his power for his own benefit at the cost of the People.
 
Okay, I'm getting the feeling this is a fake accusation. Four anonymous people who filed the lawsuit, an alleged scam that's been going on for years, both coming out AFTER Mueller's horrific testimony. I think this is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to try and get rid of Trump because he beat both Hillary and the entire Left wing in 2016, and the Democrats don't have anyone that can beat him in 2020. So this, and many other accusations, are nothing more than flailing on the Left's end. "NO, IT'S A REAL THING! TRUMP'S BEEN SCREWING PEOPLE FOR YEARS, AND PEOPLE ARE JUST NOW BECOMING BRAVE TO OPPOSE THIS BRUTE!" Keep telling yourselves that, but be prepared for disappointment when this thing's debunked quickly. It's probably four Democrat donors, four Democrat Congressmen, or four Democrat supporters that have it out for Trump.

No it wouldn't. By not taking a salary he convinces the gullible that he's got their best interests at heart, and they're too stupid to figure out that it's just a scam. Then he and his family takes tens of millions in tax cuts and other benefits. His buddies take billions of dollars in tax cuts. While the poorly educated see their taxes raised in the form of tariffs to help pay for it. You just can't fix stupid.
