Judge orders Trump Accounts to hand over info to House!

This is all because of TRUMP'S TARIFFS.

Why don't you go back to blaming Trump for a dead illegal immigrant kid who died in a hospital. At least then you made some lick of sense.

If feel that Trump's cult has revealed something about human nature and politics that I find very depressing.

If people like a politician enough then all rationality goes out the window. They will support almost anything that politician does.

We're one charismatic leader away from a dictatorship.
I don't think it's charisma, though. It is the citizens greedy self-regard for their own selves, on a personal level.

Then again, some would say that's democracy! ;)

You're back again with your half-information? Do you only read the first sentence of any article or do your eyes only select what your brain wishes to process?
Ford to lay off 7,000 white collar workers
https://www.breitbart.com/news/ford-to-lay-off-7000-white-collar-workers/
May 20 (UPI) — Ford Motor Co. said Monday it is planning to layoff white collar 7,000 workers, with 800 coming this summer — most in the Detroit area.
The automaker said the layoffs will start with 500 salaried workers leaving involuntarily this week and another 300 in June. The majority of the affected workers will be notified Tuesday.
“Ford is a family company and saying goodbye to colleagues is difficult and emotional,” Ford CEO James Hackett said in a email Monday. “We have moved away from past practices in some regions where team members who were separate had to leave immediately with their belongings, instead giving people the choice to stay a few days to wrap up and say goodbye.”

The cuts are part of a massive reorganization that will ultimately result in 7,000 voluntary and involuntary separations worldwide through August.
The goal is to remove layers of management, give managers more authority and decide which skills are valuable for the future. The move, it said, will save Ford about $600 million a year.

Ford Motor Co. announces thousands of workers to be laid off
It’s the first of a wave of Ford layoffs in the U.S. that is expected to hit 800 by the end of June
and 7,000 worldwide by the end of August.

As I said before, Ford will lay off up to 800 salaried employees (managers) in North America, just like your article says.

Or maybe the President would like to see his rights respected and not have his financials used as a political weapon by the ****ers on the other side.

If he's clean what would they use as a weapon?

Very true. Judges are just people at the end of the day. But I think you'd have to look long and hard to find one that is willing to go against such a large stash of existing rulings and president as there is in this case. I mean, they argued in court that congress shouldn't have been able to investigate watergate! If we could have gathered every US judge in a room and let them listen to that argument we would have all felt a slight shift on the earths axis from the collective eye rolls at that exact moment.
Haha! Yeah, a few days ago I saw that argument (bolded) was going to be used.

LOL. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Trust me, November 2020 can't come quick enough for me. Enough of this insanity!

I hate when corporations use these absurd euphemisms. "separations"

Have the courage to say what you mean plainly.

'Involuntary separations' sounds nicer than saying "they didn't want to go, but my foot in their ass made them"

I think Trump is very charismatic in the same that Mussolini or Hitler was charismatic. Duterte in the Philippines is also charismatic.

It's an odd sort of charisma. It's a kind of machismo charisma that people buy into.

At a very basic level, people want to be led. That's why we still have kings and emperors who have no political power but are still adored by people. I was just in Thailand with my wife where they coronated a new king.

That's his wife. She had to prostrate herself like that before his royal majesty.

But it's the truth, you just have your head stuck in a Trump haze.

Yes, I understand that. But that doesn't remove the President's right to appeal. I would seem that at this point, these records are set to be released. It remains to be seen if they actually will be.

My hope is the next court in the process will rule in favor of the President. Not because I think he has anything to hide, but because of the precedent the partisan members of the House are setting.

My hope has been this era of extremism would have peaked already. It's apparent it has not.

The next Dem in the White House is doomed to never ending attack and accusation. That's too bad, but it most certainly will be justified.

We'll just have to make sure you hold neither branch of congress forever then.

Challenge accepted!

(And y'all pretty much did indeed attack and accuse the last dem president. Don't you remember?)

You tell me then, what part of the information I gave was misleading?

LOL

Well, don't make the totalitarian label the left is earning too easy to apply.

The difference between whatever the New Democratic Party imagines was done against Obama, and what they are doing to try and eliminate President Trump couldn't be starker.

But I get that is likely difficult for it's followers to comprehend.

Perhaps they will grasp it when the next NDP President resides in the White House.

"Imagines was done"

****ing highLARIOUS!

You talk as if we didn't see it plain as day over and over and over again.

It never ceases to amaze me the lengths that Trump cultists are willing to go to defend their messiah.

They sacrifice their own credibility, their character, self-respect, any sense of honesty and they seem to not be bothered at all at the fools they are making themselves out to be. None whatsoever.

Oh well. Not my circus. Not my monkeys.

"But for the grace of God go I," I suppose.

I've acknowledged the followers of the New Democratic Party imagine EX President Obama was not treated fairly. What more do you want?

That doesn't change the fact the offensive President Trump has faced is many multiples beyond whatever it is those followers believe EX President Obama faced.

I tend to agree with you. However, the evidence is very strong this effort is purely partisan, which Judge Mehta did touch on in the ruling.

It raises interesting questions of Citizens rights vs. Government overreach based on emotion, ideological differences, and perhaps politically motivated retribution.
You know, I get this. No one wants to see powers abused. But the founders & framers did give Congress Article One powers, including to "make all laws which shall be necessary", which is seen in the impeachment process where Congress can essentially claim anything the President did is against the law, irrespective of prior laws on the books.

In addition, the Constitution makes no mention as to what may or may not be proper in these terms.

So essentially, Congress can exam and do whatever it wants to the President, kicking him out of office if the so want.

But Congress is held in check, by the People (via their vote). That is the key. Congress examines and rules over the President and administration and the courts, and the People rule over Congress. In essence, the People have a check upon the President and government, through Congress.

It's for these reasons, that I believe Congress should have free reign in these matters, for whatever reason they so chose, because they are reflecting the will of the People, which is a will that is open-ended an unrestrained. If Congress becomes errant, the the People have the power to remove them via their vote.

That's my take, on all this.

Yes.

Trump is quite the victim.

Trump is getting victimized really, really, really hard.

UNFAIR!

I'll categorize that as a broken campaign promise.

All politicians make promises they can't keep. Very few politicians are ever caught outright lying about facts the way Trump does.
Alright, that strikes me as a very fair comment on your part. Good enough.

Well, Congress can try, but the Founding Fathers created 3 branches of the Federal Government, with one holding the power to keep Congress in check.

There is a reason separation of powers exist.

Imagine Congress deciding they just don't like the duly elected President of the United States, and voting to remove them, just because. I don't think that would fly. The President is still a citizen, and is afforded the same rights as you and me.

In this matter, I think there is much evidence to suggest the House is not reflecting the "will of the people", just some people.

Thanks for sharing that. Were you thinking the "cultists" would care what you think about them?

You keep using words that imply we didn't ****ing see it with our own eyes.

Actively blocking anything he tried after gaining control of the senate.

"One term president"

Theft of his SC choice.

By my count we have five or six more investigation coming after "Benghazi!"

What is it which would stop a Congress who wanted to impeach a president "just because"?

The PotUS?

The SCotUS?

What is the mechanism either of these would use to prevent such an impeachment?

Well, maybe some like Trump's persona. But I'm sure there's many like myself, who can't stand it. All I see is huckster bull****. He's totally off-putting, to me.

BTW, that's a helluva' picture from Thailand. I never realized that was the situation.
