AMI was looking for foreign investment, Pecker had an investor at the WH for a State Dinner

Bezos initiated an investigation and threw it out to the public.

Now from what I understand, the WashPo investigation into AMI, well I am sure that moved to the top of the heap at the WP.

Must be big for AMI to try this crap.

I don't understand the posts and people say, oh he got it coming. Yes, he had an affair, it ended mutually. Millions of people do it. It's not the 1950s or 1980s Russia.

What happened here is that a tabloid got into his phone somehow we don't know (Do these people think Bezos sent them his pics or something?) and attempted to blackmail the richest man in the world. Yet these are the same exact people who think that whenever someone (in this circle) gets arrested, it's a biased hit job. Give me a break. They are pure partisan fools, plain and simple.

NE is like the first newspaper I see before I check out of the grocery store. People love to talk about celebrity rumors and gossip. There is an entire show/business dedicated to discussing it called TMZ.

There are certain people (especially around here) that I don't expect much out of. If I never expect much out of them, I never get disappointed. :shrug:

How do you know someone didn't provide the photos/text to the NE? It could be Lauren Sanchez's brother trying to get a pay day.

This story is still fresh and breaking and there's more information dripping out little by little. The latest news comes from Dylan Byers, senior media reporter for NBC News. The man who handed this story to the Enquirer is the brother of the woman Jeff Bezos is having an affair with. The motive of isn't clear but supposedly this brother of the woman Bezos is having an affair with is a Trump supporter and a good friend of David Pecker.

Bezos states that there are two parties who would want to go after him and after the Washington Post (owned by Jeff Bezos), The murder of Khashoggi is somehow implicated in the motive by intimating that someone sympathetic to the Saudi's is involved. "Two parties that would want to go after him and want to besmirch his reputation and that of the WP" and Bezos clearly implicates Trump as well as what he describes as 'people who would be upset with the coverage of Saudi Arabia'. Could Trump really be this vindictive in his hatred of Jeff Bezos to stoop this low? YES he could, he's been a racketeer and extortionist all his life!!

Jeff Bezos put out a letter on Medium.com. I can't get the direct link but the link can be found on the Twitter account of NBC reporter Dyan Beyers. I recommend you read the Jeff Bezos letter.

No other reason than that for Pecker to make a Hail Mary Pass against the worlds richest man

Oh I am sure he supplied more than sufficient funds to find the breach. And of that we will hear little to nothing

Trump said that this will be a doozy. Makes sense that he was talking to Pecker at the time he said that. Meanwhile that I believe is the same time of the Jamal Khashoggi murder and now it appears that there's evidence MBS planned the murder (assassination) in 2017 or at least claimed he would like to/was thinking about doing so. This story is too wild but in any normal presidency Trump would be impeached for this and yes, things are about to get much, much worse. Trump defense of MBS now makes total sense if he is backing AMI and Pecker.

How many others have AMI extorted or threatened in order to stop publishing something that would destroy them in the National Enquirer. Jeff Bezos has the money to fight AMI and David Pecker but most politicians do not and would most likely be controlled by AMI in a similar situation. Jeff Bezos should know better then to send intimate photos or texts but that's not breaking any laws.

Not really. Trump has a personal beef with Bezos and the WashingtonPost. He would like nothing more than to destroy both. Because he is jealous of their success. Pecker is all too happy to lend a helping hand. Otherwise why force Bezos to say it wasn't a political hit job?
 
My understanding of the matter is that Jeff's position is this: "Okay, you can try to embarrass me if you want. Maybe it'll work; maybe it won't. What you won't do is blackmail/extort me into doing things I don't want to do, or not doing things I want to do. But if you want to try, bring it on."

That position works for me. In fact, I applaud handling the matter that way. I don't understand handling such matters any other way.
