According to reports coming out, all the city folk need to send a big thank you to american midwest farmers. The corn crop in the midwest has been found to produce as much oxygen as the Amazon rain forest. With the closely planted corn stalks this would seem to be reasonable.

Nice link. Where's the info on how much the crops remove greenhouse gasses, like the Alaska forest, the largest temperate rainforest in the world, trump is trying to remove protections for? Where's the info from climate scientists? If the crops play some big role in that, then I'll comment.

But all the windmills will give those farmers cancer, and the farms will go to rot.

Got a link? I am interested in the data.

Hmm... is there some source link for that (bolded above) "finding"?

Have you ever lived in corn/bean country? Have you ever heard of round up ready soy beans? Have you ever experienced a crop duster popping up in the middle of the afternoon, no warning, spraying gallons of stuff from above?
Makes me wonder if one might offset the other.

That is not allowed to be measured, just like hydro electric is not allowed to be considered renewable. Reality throws off the figures.

Is that like gun violence isn't allowed to be studied?

Provide a link or we will all know you are just MSU.

You would hope this one time the illogical1 actually had some data to backup his post, but it very well may be another case of his daily made up **** pulled out of his … . <-- I haven't had any points in awhile so I'll stop there.

Hmm... that use of an alternate poster name might have already earned you some "points".

I agree! It's time for a thank you. Thank you for never failing us. We can always count on you to start stupid threads.

crop dusters spray early in the morning or in the evening

they don't generally pop up in the middle of the afternoon

that said, i was once sprayed by an irresponsible pilot around midday

Just means the cornbelt moves north.

You really have to pity right-wingers, the made up world they are in. Too bad they get to vote. I mean, I want them to get to vote, but they really make democracy not work by being such...

He was making fun of the OP's name, which is Logical1. Saying it should be "Illogical1". That was pretty clear from his post, no?

Yep, but that is a (clear?) DP forum rules violation used in a post alleging that it has stopped short of deserving "points".

There's no global warming. It's a Communist hoax. I saw it on Infowars. Wait for the 'what about India and China' attempts at rebuttal.

Be glad we are in the US that isn't experiencing the global warming.

In order to address some of these problems, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) implemented, beginning in 2005, a new surface temperature measurement system in the U.S.

[The U.S. Climate Reference Network] includes 114 pristinely maintained temperature stations spaced relatively uniformly across the lower 48 states. NOAA selected locations that were far away from urban and land-development impacts that might artificially taint temperature readings.

Prior to the USCRN going online, alarmists and skeptics sparred over the accuracy of reported temperature data. With most preexisting temperature stations located in or near urban settings that are subject to false temperature signals and create their own microclimates that change over time, government officials performed many often-controversial adjustments to the raw temperature data. Skeptics of an asserted climate crisis pointed out that most of the reported warming in the United States was non-existent in the raw temperature data, but was added to the record by government officials.

The USCRN has eliminated the need to rely on, and adjust the data from, outdated temperature stations.

So–not to keep you in suspense–what does the USCRN show so far? No warming:

At Real Clear Energy, James Taylor adds:

There is also good reason to believe U.S. temperatures have not warmed at all since the 1930s. Raw temperature readings at the preexisting stations indicate temperatures are the same now as 80 years ago. All of the asserted U.S. warming since 1930 is the product of the controversial adjustments made to the raw data. Skeptics point out that as the American population has grown, so has the artificial warming signal generated by growing cities, more asphalt, more automobiles, and more machinery.

If you live in a climate model you are probably screwed. In the real world, probably not.

I don't know. I've never gotten points for saying I'm stopping before I get points.

People have played with my user name. Did they get points? Don't know and don't care.

Calling the OP of this thread "Illogical1" has been done more times than I can count. It's also well deserved.
