That’s why most of America (regardless of party) is unhappy with Trump. He is trying to take us back to the worst parts of the early 20th century, but in an even uglier, dystopian manner; isolationism, racism, division, oppression of those not in power, etc..

Racially motivated crimes are up, politically/ideologically motivated mass shootings have increased, ties with our allies are strained while Trump makes friends with murderous dictators, and on and on.

Face it, Trump is bad for America. Very bad.

What do you even mean by well rounded? I'm all for agreeing to fight to remove Trump but many of his policies are no different than the type of policies we could expect to see from any Republican administration. We have been running on right wing economics since Reagan and it has, ironically, helped lead to the election of Trump. I understand that people are complex, but I'm not interested in policies taking a back seat ever. Change the policies and we might avoid Trump 2.0.

The problem is, rarely do I see one of you guys call out the same sort of ugliness and worse coming from your side. Trump can be compared to Hitler and nobody flinches. That is hate speech, and fosters the violence that your side cries about.

Trump is a jerk, he is lots of bad things sure. But he isn’t evil unless he is hiding it.

Calling trump Hitler is worse than most anything trump says.

Ridiculous was your comment with much less relationship to the truth than the El Paso killings which did mimic much of Trump's words.

Why don't you try to relate your words about Liberals to actual events so they are more believable? Words with no support are easy to say.

I personally am not totally opposed to some of what the "old" Republicans wanted, starting with a balance budget and less unnecessary spending. The now Republicans are no longer Republicans as they have joined a clan and it is no longer about policy but about following a madman that doesn't know his hand from his ass. Destruction by incompetence is what is happening now and not necessarily because of policy.

You are the only person who misunderstood my post. Instead of blaming others maybe you could work on your reading comprehension. Balanced budget Republicans do not exist. They haven't existed in several decades.

I don't mean to seem so combative on this issue. I appreciate the fact that some amount of moderate Republicans are willing to join up and get Trump out of office. I just don't want the Progressive message to be lost and I think it could be if the focus is just on Trump and not the difference between left and right politics.

He also supported universal healthcare, basic income, and environmentalism. He never mentioned small limited gov't, freedom, or liberty.

I don't worry too much. Left VS right is an outdated idea and concept in my opinion. Gen-Z all think Trump is a crazy old man who brings nothing to the table and were able to organize a protest around the country to ban guns. They are living through a warzone while Baby boomers yell at Mexicans through their TV sets thousands of miles away. A lot is going to change in this country in 30 years and the old wingnuts can't handle it, even though, most of them won't be around to experience any of it. You even have conservatives claiming that they are classical liberals just so they have a license to just be assholes.

Your policies in exchange for "civility"? The "civility" as most people understand its meaning, spelled out in so many dictionaries; 'politeness and courtesy'? If you think that's the problem non-cult members have with Trump, you're in denial, or need to take your head out of the sand.

Even if you welcome Russian's help in the next election, can't you see that just opens the door for the Democrats to do the same? Giving 'the button' to an impulsive, thin skinned seven year old goes well beyond being uncivil.

Disgusting human beings tend to treat human beings in disgusting ways, to be inhumane in other words. Someone who would rip children out of their mothers arms and throw them in a cage for a few months for example. That goes well beyond being uncivil.

Why would you want a "disgusting human being" to be our representative to the world? Disgusting human beings get no respect and for good reasons, I want the world to respect our country again...
