I really have not seen any indication that approach would work with them. Politics have become a sport of demagoguery. They rule through fear mongering. The left is convinced the world is going to end under Trump and the right was convinced the world was going to end under obama. Who do you suppose was telling us all the world is going to end.

I'm talking about Trump's bedside manner, or astounding lack of it.
If you have examples of foreign leaders engaging in demagoguery and fear mongering, I am eager to look them over.
I'm not fear mongering, I'm saying Trump has horrible manners, and his schtick isn't playing well in Quebec.
That's not even remotely a "leftist" observation at all, because it has nothing to do with me being liberal, as I've repeatedly said that even if we'd ended up with another Republican other than Trump, things would not be nearly so horrible on this and other fronts.
I even said I'd take Pennywise the Clown over Trump, even if he was a Republican.
I am not saying that the world will end, I am saying that his actions are going to isolate us in trade, and even if US manufacturing were to think of tooling up to take up the slack, that will take an enormous amount of time, and it would require certainty, and with Trump, uncertainty is the coin of the realm.
Would YOU, as a CEO of a company, place your bets on investing in reviving a moribund domestic manufacturing infrastructure in such an environment?
