You ask which one? Here's the one I was talking about. (See? I really read what you write! :) )

You said Trump won by the rules of the EC. There is no argument there.

Then, you stated that "Trump : The People's Choice." Which is in direct conflict with your statement regarding the fact that Trump won by EC. You see, Hawkeye. In order for a President to go up to the podium and accept the "People's Choice," award, he would have had to actually been the "people's choice." That trophy is reserved to the candidate with the popular vote. Not the EC vote. Trump won the EC vote. Not the "people's" vote he lost that vote. Good thing for him that that vote isn't the vote that matters. The EC vote matters. Trump won the EC vote.

To which we the people handed our proxy, therefor the result is our will.

To which your response should be that according to Oxford Dictionary:

people's choice
NOUN

A person or thing chosen by the majority of people, a popular favorite.

To which I say: Reasonable people can disagree, you know what I think about this because I have explained it, and I have heard and I respect your alternate opinion. I also say that I am opposed to this modern insistance that we all need to agree all the time, and even more so to this idea that we need to manipulate/bully/bludgeon all those who do not agree until such time as they do agree.

I hear ya. On this subject, I think this way and you think that way. And, most likely, we both might think we've already spent more time on the subject than it deserves.

How ever one feels about it here's the bottom line, Trump is our President. People need to get over it. <drops mic>

Even as a serious detractor, I say it's too early to tell. Six months, minimum, preferably a year, then we'll have a decent idea.

we don't have academy here in SW Ohio but they were in Alabama and my wife got me some good boots there. Insult weapon?

It's funny scarey looking. Someone might call it an assualt weapon. I would have to insult that individual.

well you know what Clint said-there's nothing wrong with shooting people as long as the right people get shot

That sounds like a John Wayne quote from True Grit.

My wife is more excited about the AR purchase than I am. She wants to see if it shoots like an M16. I guess she'll have to let me know if it does. I just want to hit bull's-eyes that are far away.

Has she ever shot a select fire M16?

As the leader of the free world he should be setting an example of how and adult should behave. Instead, he overtly acts childish and dishonest. He's vindictive. He's set the standard of how a respected person should act to a new low. Definitely not making america great!

Three shot burst.

ah ok, that makes sense. full auto is a waste of ammo with a hand held weapon shooting anything heavier than a pistol cartridge

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Your boy Trump has said that the media is the enemy of all Americans, that the American intelligence agencies are like Nazi Germany, that the American electoral process is crooked. If you wrote a schedule for bringing fascism into a democracy it would start with fostering distrust of the free press, the intelligence agencies and the free election process.
Hm. What would be next? What if Trump were to start beaking off about Congress being corrupt?

Listen, Trump is being hyperbolic, but the fact is, each point you've brought up is not objectively false. I could just as easily spin around and say a society where you're not supposed to question a corporate press, government spy agencies, or problems in fair elections, is fascist. is Jill Stein a fascist in your mind for demanding recounts in three swing states? That's a serious question.

we have

1) A corporate media dedicated to its own agenda and profits running defamatory and in many cases outright false stories or otherwise inaccurate ones, we can choose any of the "controverisal" police shootings as an example of this, in one case an honorable man named Darren Wilson lost his job and must live in hiding because of fake news, and when they edited the Zimmerman 911 call to make him sound more racist the judge didn't allow Zimmerman to sue. so yes the news media is an enemy of the american people at this point, they will think nothing of destroying your life for a buck. I personally think libel suits should be much easier against national news outlets, and you should have the power to compel any news media outlet to reveal their sources in discovery for a libel suit, bascially this is what Donald Trump wants and I don't think it is a violation of any rights.

2) American intelligence agencies outright broke the law in how that information about Flynn was released. first off no one seriously believes anything Flynn did was criminal, but someone wanted to bring him down and throw egg in the face of the new admin and leaked that information.

3) There are certainly problems with the election system as administered, remember that guy who shot up the mall here in WA state? he was not a citizen but was registered to vote here in WA and was illegally voting for years, and our elections officials are not allowed to even verify eligibility to vote, so to claim there is no problems in the system is not correct either.

If by "great" you mean fascist, then yes. Otherwise, hell no.

Well, "America first" was the slogan of the USA WWII Nazi group slogan. Lindebergh, who was promised a Berlin home by hitler

tRump is an anomaly as far as presidents go; I hope there is no one like him ever again in the White House ............. my OP was however about tRump ...........

So a self described libertarian Obama was a better president and you have preferred Clinton or Sanders.

What exactly is your definition of a libertarian??

Indeed. At 30 cents / bullet, it can add up fast. She said that almost all of the training was done with single shot semi-auto. They shot a couple of tri-burst at the end. Required to know how to use the select switch basically.

To do what? Do you expect him to turn into The Elder Statesman in a few months?

The Donald is pretty unpredictable.

Not sure what to expect.

I predict he will not turn into Cicero in any amount of time at all.

if Trump is truly fascist, why are you posting stuff openly critical of him-aren't you worried about getting "re-educated"

the fact that you spend hours bashing Trump on a forum where Government techs could find out your name proves to me you don't believe the swill you spew about Trump

Give him some time. Today he kicks the press out, tomorrow who knows where things will go.

See how it works? If some long-hair from the radical left had said that the judiciary is crooked, the intelligence agencies criminal, the electoral process corrupted and the media driven by a corporate agenda, he'd be heaped with scorn and abuse. People would question HIS agenda.
Would you call Trump 'radical right'?
You're probably right about those points of concern, but the language Trump uses looks like he's disqualifying every one who can tell you about any wrongdoing on his part. If the FBI announced that Trump had told Flynn to have a conversation with the Russian ambassador the day Obama announced sanctions, would they be believed?

I don't think it is accurate to say no one is questioning Trump on it. And not only that be know full well that Obama would have loyal supporters no matter what he chose to do. people are willing to overlook what their guy does or says versus the other one. This isn't new.

Would you call Trump 'radical right'?

Depends on perspective, I don't think Trump is radical right compared to say, a Ted Cruz.

By people who don't like Trump? absolutely they would. by people who support Trump? maybe, but probably not.

But that's an invention of the media, they have chosen to be slanted left for so long that a good portion of the country just doesn't believe them.

The Democrats and Trump haters are actually going to help Trump's reelection campaign by lowering expectations. The anti Trump camp is whining about everything the guy does-on issues that matter and on stuff that is irrelevant to 99% of the voters

and by the time the campaign is run again, unless he's really screwed up, he will have done better than the predictions the constant whiners have made
