Scenario:

You're at home sitting on the sofa watching TV and you happen to look out of the window apropos of nothing; in the house across the road you see an attractive young woman standing in front of her bedroom window in her underwear/getting undressed.

Do you keep looking or turn away? Is it voyeurism if you're just sitting on the sofa minding your own business and she's in front of her window with the blinds open?

Depends. Are you married/dating?

Pull out your phone, record it, and put it on the internet of course

Did this happen to you recently or something?

Look. Look again.

Said woman knows full well what she's doing.

She knows the blinds are open.

I'm female, so I wouldn't look...not interested. Unless I yell over at her to remind her the curtains are open. Which I suspect she knows.

Go to the phone and give her a call. "I just noticed that you're standing damn near buck nekkid in front of your window providing a clear view for anybody who happens to look. Is this intentional?"

Woman: "How'd you get this number?"

Are you kidding? I run for the closet and grab the binoculars for a better view!

Wait, wait, WAIT!

I can't believe no one has asked the most important question!!!

Is she hot?

It depends, if she's single and pretty cool then I would assume she's putting on a show. :popcorn2:

If she consistently displays poor judgement and/or is the type of woman to try and make her husband/boyfriend jealous, I'd shut the curtains. :(

I would feel too much a peeping Tom. If you want to look at women there's plenty of material on the internet. But, the next day when she's bringing her groceries inside. I'm out on the front lawn asking if she needs any help.

Enjoy it.
The idea that prudes would bully you into thinking its wrong or bad or that you're dirty is just not appropriate.

Well this is the thing: if you're skulking around trying to spy on women through their windows, then sure. But if you're just sat on your sofa and she's at the window, then there isn't a reasonable argument of violated privacy. It's not like I went out seeking this situation.

If you're married, it's very wrong. Especially considering the proximity of the temptation. Remove the possibility of temptation.

No temptation, just a little treat for the eyes.

Would you be looking if your wife were sitting next to you?

Look, don't get me wrong. I see little to no harm in looking. But for me, this is the next door neighbor. And she wants to be seen. That's trouble, in my book.

I keep looking. Which is OK because a straight man (such as myself) is attracted to that naturally.

She wasn't looking to be seen, just not thinking/not bothered.

Of course I turn away.
A) this is 2017 - not 1977. There are a billion attractive woman on the internet in whatever state of undress you wish. B) Why would I risk people seeing me and then get a reputation as a pervert in my own neighborhood? Just for a quick look? Forget it.
I would think of the Seinfeld scene where George and Jerry were looking down a teenaged Denise Richards top. Only an idiot would keep staring (no matter how gorgeous she was - and she DEFINITELY was). I would (hopefully) be Jerry. A quick peek and that's all.

'Definition of voyeur

Assuming you are getting turned on to some extent - than yes, it is definitely voyeurism.
