Is manscaping sexy?

I'm fully aware they do that. I even addressed in this thread or the other thread.

How have you addressed it?

If body hair is inherently masculine...why do you not rail against removal of female body hair....which by your logic is inherently feminine.

In your world it is some affront to masculinity to manscape. Why is belittling his choice somehow "more masculine" Frankly it comes off as whiney and petty.

I'm aware of that and to a large degree that is my grievance. Still, did you actually know that body hair serves a purpose? For example, pubic hair actually serves a purpose during intercourse, but of course everyone is so caught up in how it looks and how they don't like hair in their mouth that they pay no mind to the fact that it serves a valid purpose. There is really no valid reason to expect people to shave their body hair as a society. Now saying that, facial hair can go on forever and become a problem, so maintenance is obviously required there. Otherwise, it's really not required and I see no reason for it.

I agree it's not necessary, but neither is wearing makeup and most women wear that.

Many women grow some facial hair after menopause or due to PCOS, though it's not usually a 'full beard'. Are you saying you wouldn't want your partner to shave or pluck it?

Yeah, but they abuse it.

Yes, that's caused by hormonal imbalance. They should get their hormones checked and wax it off.

Learn what the word means. The beard and the hair on your head are not covered by the word. How many times do I need to go over this?

Why do you obsess so much over hair? If you have a beard, and you trim it, you are manscaping

Henrin, there is nothing abnormal about coarser facial hair as women get older. The hormone fluctuations are just part of menopause. Menopause is part of the feminine journey. So is the hair.

Unless there is something abnormal going on (facial hair in menopause is hardly abnormal) there is no need to get their "hormones checked"

Are you suggesting by checking hormone levels that you want women to restore their estrogen with replacement therapy?

Didn't even know what it meant. I Googled.

Then wished I hadn't.

I can judge people however I want. lol. You should probably avoid being with me in public when I'm out with my daughter if you don't like this stuff. Lets just say we make fun of people for all sorts of stuff. We don't do it all that often, but every once in a while someone just walks by and one of us will make a joke about it. Yeah, it's cruel, but it's also fun. Plus, it helps clense the mind of fat tights wearing women or women that think manly muscles is like totally attractive. Ladies, firm and soft, not muscular and cut. If you're going to work out then do it right.

Reading others experiences, just reiterates how fortunate I was to grow up having a Father who was such a kind and decent man. He never would have tolerated such behaviour from any of his kids. We had lots of fun just doing normal family stuff, we didn't need to make fun of others to feel better about ourselves.

I cannot fathom a father ridiculing others in front of his child.

I know that.

If you understand, why do you want women who NATURALLY have coarser facial hair due to NORMAL hormonal changes "get their hormone levels checked" because of it?

You are against men removing hair that is part of their natural makeup. Are you against women who remove their natural leg, arm, ampit (etc) hair a well? It is part of their natural feminine make up.

How about this. It is a personal decision made for personal reasons for men and women.

You seem concerned with manscaping indicating decreased masculinity. How about this....taking your child out and ridiculing others...do you find that a masculine thing?

Lol. Well, I'm not going to justify myself to you on the matter.

Not all older women have the issue like not all older men get some level of breast growth at some point. And my child is sixteen, so I think she can handle a little joking around in such a way.

Oh come on, when a woman is walking down the beach with her bottom on sideways it's just funny.

Well, you seemed concerned enough with it as an "abnormal" to say women should go to their MD and get their hormones checked - because they had some perimenopausal hair growth. Can I suggest picking up a pamphlet on menopause at a Planned Parenthood office?

Long story. I was at the beach one day teaching my daughter to surf and here comes this woman wearing her bikini sideways. I might have told a joke about it. I actually looked online when I got home to see if that was common and apparently women do it all the time. WTF? How is it hard to put on your clothes correctly?

I'm not wrong. It's caused by estrogen and androgen levels.

Are you saying that if a woman experiences perimenopausal increased facial hair growth with thickening of hair that is abnormal enough to go to your doctor and get hormone levels done?

Ummm...fourty percent of men will have some level of breast growth in their lifetime and that is still a medical condition for men regardless of the fact that it's common.

I've lived minutes from the beach (which is very well populated) pretty much my entire life and spend quite a bit of my free time there. I've never seen anyone with their bikini on sideways.

I didn't say I ever saw it before either or that what I found about the subject said they went to the beach like that. I would imagine the vast majority of women that do this correct it before leaving and going out in public.

Anyway, the beach I took her too was pretty deserted, which was best because she is self conscious and would have refused to even try if she thought she was going to be embarrassed.

I can't believe you are arguing for women going to the doctor to get hormone levels simply because they have normal thickening of facial hair perimenopausally.

What a misuse of resources and misunderstanding of usual/normal aging process.

All sorts of hair growth is natural in women - hairy legs, armpits, arms. By the standard you hold men to.....that removing the natural growth somehow diminishes masculinity......why don't you apply this to women. If the hair growth is natural in most women - it is inherently feminine......yet you are clear only to apply your standard to men.

When I look at men as I see as masculine.....manscaping is not even on my radar.

Is manscaping sexy?

It is not "not sexy". Depends on the man and the entire package. (package meaning whole self....not just his package:lamo)

If the man liked the feel and the look of his own manscaped body, that could lead to an aura of confidence that could be very sexy.

Sounds like you indicate you have seen it.
