OK, am I the only one that's seeing this?

The article goes into various details about the phone but, for the life of me, that icon in the bottom, left of the phone looks like a fork and I see no mention of it in the article. Is that the new surprise for the iPhone? It comes with a fork app?

Obviously , it's apple saying 'Fork you.'

Back button?

I know forever iPhones didn't have a back button. But didn't they recently come out with a 'software' back button.

IDK, I don't have an iPhone. Never did.

Looks like the flashlight to me. I'd like that - use it just about every night getting up to walk the dogs (they're both diabetic and need out during the night).

So it is going to cost USD$999? That is ludicrous. That means here it is probably going to be $1300, even with a contract subsidy, that is ridiculous.

Where's the 'home' button?

And their new unlock feature... face unlock, fails on its first demonstration.

Sometimes a "fork" is used as the "universal" symbol for an electric lamp - headlamps and/or fog lamps in cars often have "forks" on their controls.

Where it always has been. It is just under the screen now kinda.

Or maybe not.. getting conflicting info. It might have been switched out to be a swipe up from bottom. We will see.

And can be tricked with a picture.

That confirmed? Cause Apple says it cant and even twins wont be able to trick it :) Then again, Samsung, LG, and every other Android maker has stated the same.

Other phones struggle with that so I assume Apple's will too. Unless by facial recognition they mean iris scan like the Note.

Or maybe a flashlight?

Naw it is "new" tech.. think biometrics from Mission Impossible. So it scans the face, and takes biometrics and depth measurements... but as I said, on stage it failed.

I don't believe for an instant that Apple has made a phone that can keep your twin out without locking you out with them.

That's just about my first thought. I like the easy use of the light on the iPhone. My Samsung is much less easy to do that with.

I'm pretty sure it's a fork. What I'm thinking is that the phone also functions as a hot plate so you can put your Cup-O-Soup on it and heat the soup while charging the phone.

So the Globe has released the Candian pricing:
The asking price on the iPhone X is $1,529 for the 256 GB model in Canada, and $1,319 for the 64 GB version. If you added the fancy wireless AirPods, that's another $200 or so. So a fully rigged iPhone X is now setting you back about $1,700, before taxes and potential carrier activation fees.

Like I said ****ing ridiculous. And whoever said Apple products are not luxury products in a thread a while back I think this proves you wrong. You can actually buy a gold bar for less.

Most phones have an option to enable a similar button, you just have to go digging. Also voice commands are usually pretty quick for controlling the flashlight.

Fry a steak and spear it with the fork? That's truly practical.

Siri says she cannot do that.

Don't have to worry about the antiquated Iphone X I'm getting my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in 3 days.
