Interference in foreign elections is common.

The right to meddle in our elections?

Are you another of that cabal who wants to make Russia great again?

My God.

It seems to me that most who argue that Russia interfered in our election also demand that non-citizens be accorded the rights of US citizens.

Just wondering where you stand.

I wonder if people realize that interference in foreign elections is more common than they think. The USA has interfered many times itself. So why all the outrage.

The U.S. has a long history of attempting to influence presidential elections in other countries – it’s done so as many as 81 times between 1946 and 2000, according to a database amassed by political scientist Dov Levin of Carnegie Mellon University.

The U.S. Has Been Meddling In Other Countries' Elections For A Century. It Doesn't Feel Good. | The Huffington Post

Like Trump said "We kill people, too." As if that makes it OK that the Russians do what they did. We overthrew Iran's democratically elected government and installed an authoritarian Shah. Then we complain that Iran is against us now. So, are you saying why should we be concerned with Russia invading our democratic process? I need clarity, not just history.

I'm saying we shouldn't be acting so hypocritical. Where was all this outrage when we did it in recent years?

Hey, our own country got it's start by interfering with another country's "electoral" process, being that of Great Britain and King George III. I get the hypocritical part. Got that many years ago. But, you did not give me a very direct answer to my question. Do you think Russia interfering with our electoral process is something to be seriously concerned about, or not that big of a deal? Or what?

Honestly, I haven't decided. It depends how they did and how much. If it's just the DNC's emails (that hasn't been proven yet), then no, I don't. Unless they actually hacked into voting machines or something to do with the count, all they did was try to influence. How else were they interfering with our electoral process?

They interfered by releasing information in hopes of making Hillary look bad and increase Trump's chance of winning. And as far as our intelligence community is concerned, that has been proved. They don't need to mess with the count to mess up the electoral process. We can do that ourselves.
