What will Nancy Pelosi decide to do? Allow the Schiff-show to continue moving forward to taking an impeachment vote while Democrats in key races possibly risk losing Independents or call it a day? Seems to me losing millions of independents and more moderate Democrats while pissing off the far leftist side of the base, almost guarantees Trump the win. Does she continue to the impeachment vote or is she smart enough to know the writing is on the wall?

Nancy doesn't have any choice. She's screwed if she continues and she's screwed if she stops.

Why wouldn't they? They, like the opportunistic partisan party Dems.. pay attention to their base. Do you really delude yourself into believing, that Nancy Pelosi is not worried about losing Independents? The Republicans will do what 95% of Trump's base wants, and now they have to consider that independents are flipping toward not being for an impeachment vote and subsequent conviction.

An impeachment is political. The Democrats are purely motivated by a politically driven agenda to oust Trump, and have been since the day he took office. Some might want to label them the cult, politics of destruction cultists.

Since the left needs the independents to beat Trump and company 2020, we have to seriously consider if Nancy will carry on with the Schiff-show.

nice deflection. I just like the judges Trump has appointed so far. I am hoping Amul Thapar (6th Circuit-former colleague of mine) gets on the court. He'd be the first Southern-Asian as well. He also didn't go to one of the usual law schools-but UC-Berkley is top drawer.

Nancy has no good options. As soon as she allows the vote, then the whole matter is out of the Dems' hands and the Senate will take it up in January right dab smack in the middle of the Dem primaries. They'll recall Liz Warren, Sanders, Booker, Harris and Klobucher back to Washington where they will have to sit, day after day, while Biden and Buttigeig are out campaigning. They might even miss Super Tuesdey. And in the end Trump will win a political victory when the Senate fails to convict

Even if Nancy doesn't allow the vote, then it looks horrible for the Dems. Trump wins by default.

Her best strategy is to continue the hearings but keep postponing the vote indefinitely. Maybe until after the election, at which point it becomes moot.

I bet Nancy wishes she had a time machine and could go back and stop the madness before it started.
