In 2016 Lindsey Graham said that if the Republicans nominated Trump

trumps base of uneducated white christians are now 40 % of the population and that is all he can count on

That number did not dramatically change from 2016 to now.

Again (which you entirely ignored,) that arrogant certainty is what cost Democrats in 2016.

Hillary made the mistake and the DNC made the mistake, not only am I curious if Democrats really learned anything from 2016 but also questioning over half the posters here at DP claiming what will happen well in advance (just like they did in 2016) learned anything as well.

Now I'll admit that a bit of this is pot calling the kettle black, I was fairly certain that Trump was a mistake for Republicans to put up against Hillary and I was wrong. I was concerned about his character, his background and business dealings, his methods of dealing with people he did not like, etc. And now he is the star of the Party.

I learned a valuable lesson about voters and certainty from any side's base, what is your story?
